Updated Planned Battle Rating Changes (April 2026)

9M and 9Li are more dangerous than 9L, so there is somewhat justification for both to be higher than the RET8 at 11.7 at the very least and whilst I largely consider 9Ls a bit of a waste of time. I can usually get 1 or 2 kills with the 9Ms at that BR in ARB.

F-15E

14.0 → 13.7

absolutely nowhere near competitive in the current state of top tier
The single worst ARHs in game that almost every single game has to fight PL-12As and R-77-1s
absolutely abysmal airframe with a turning speed that makes the F104 look maneuverable
engines that are nowhere near competitive anymore with aircraft like the SU30SM2, J15T, EF2Ks all out performing it in speed an acceleration
absolutely zero A-G weaponry that isnt avalible on aircraft from 12.0
theres just no reason to use this sad aircraft anymore, and while compressing it more is bad, we all know gaijin is never going to decompress until 5th gens release, which we can maybe get an extra .7 BRs if were lucky

HO229

7.0-6.7(GRB only)

Sounds crazy but reasonable, German at 6.7 still doesn’t have any good fighters that could against CAS, they are too slow or hard to dogfight(Ta152/bf109k), and that’s one of main reasons German is suffer at 6.7, also Ho229 won’t make a mess in GRB for CAS due to CAS system nerf and tons of good SPAA we have now, and considering HO229 is pretty hard to control for normal player, move HO229 from 7.0 to 6.7 is still balance for GRB

I can also get one kill at a good frequency, but it’s not easy at all. Getting two kills is very difficult since the Tornado only carries two missiles and their efficiency isn’t that great. Even in head-ons, they tend to follow flares if the opponent spams them. In my opinion, a 0.7 BR difference for Tornados with AIM-9Ls (without IRCCM) would be acceptable.

This should have finally been fixed btw, the 9Ms now have front aspect IRCCM.

Oh Im not disagreeing, I think when directly compared to something like the Mirage F1 currently at 12.0, they are way better suited for being 12.0. Let alone if you also factor in the Mirage 2KC-S5 moving down to 12.3 or the F-15s being at only 12.7.

But I was just pointing out an error where you said they were at 12.3 with 9Ls, which isnt the case.

T-34-57 (USSR)
ussr_t_34_1941_57

  • Arcade Battles: 4.7 → 5.0
  • Realistic Battles: 4.7 → 5.0

Reasoning
The T-34-57 has an absolutely bonkers gun. Great reload, great HE filler and velocity that makes aiming a point and click endeavour. And with mobility that allows it to get to places before most others, even before some light tanks. I would compare it to the 76mm Shermans in several aspect, though obviously trading things here and there. Hence it should be the same BR.

Seafire MK47
ARB/GRB 5.7-5.3
It is heavier than normal Spitfires over 1t in weight, and its performance is like Fw190, with low speed but more maneuverable. It is like a B&Z plane but without high speed, and also because the engine is pretty easy to overheat, so it is pretty hard to keep full engine power for 10 minutes, comparing to Templest MKV, there is no reason to make it still at 5.7

It does not seem you played back when the Hellcat terrorised all games it was in.

Though I do not agree with labeling it a light tank, it certainly fills that role extremely well in this game and does not lack performance where it’s at.

Yeah I could see this being a good change. It is, like my suggestion for the 262 Jabo, an underutilised plane in GRB which would benefit from being at a BR with an actual lineup, without breaking the game

War Thunder’s biggest saboteur’s genuine reaction to being told to do anything that would help the game:

(Seriously, why are the Su-30MKK and Su-30MK2 not at least 13.7?)

M24s are better Shermans while they were the same BR as the base Shermans.
On top of that AMX-13 F-11 was 4.3 for the longest time despite being an extremely similar system to the M24.

I mean, they already gave exceptions for B-52H and Tu-95M (giving them airspawns) at Rank VI.

I am OK with not changing Rank. Just give those non-US F-84Fs the same exceptions as above.

ARL-44 (ACL-1) (FR)

fr_arl_44_acl1

  • Arcade Battles: 3.7 → 4.0
  • Realistic Battles: 3.7 → 4.0

Reasoning
In line with the updates to many vehicles in this BR range, the ARL-44 ACL-1 also deserves to go up. Since the gun was buffed for historical reasons many moons ago, it has consistently been a pain to meet for many vehicles with a lower BR.

BF-109G-14 (Germany)

image

  • Realistic Battles: 5.3 → 4.7

Reasoning
The BF-109G-14 is identical in performance to the BF-109G-6 found at battle rating 4.7, it is extremely overtiered for what it is and should be put into a folder with the BF-109G-6 at BR 4.7

Ground RB
3.3s like M4A1 stand little chance against such a tank it has amazing mobility and a 1.2second reload making the strat to play it just hold the trigger down it takes very little skill to play such a broken tank it can still seal club at its br

Bf 109 T-2

  • Rank : Rank II → Rank III
  • All Battle : BR: 3.0 → 4.0

Reasoning:
The Bf 109 T-2 is an excellent fighter that combines superior turning performance and climb rate, making it fully capable of competing against the Yak-3 and Spitfire F. It’s 20mm Minengeschoß ammunition is extremely powerful. With 2,000 rounds of 7.92mm MG 17 machine guns, it can also pour fire into enemy aircraft for a long time and turn them into Swiss cheese.
When compared to the Japan Ki-61, the Bf 109 T-2 is superior in low-speed turns, slightly inferior in high-speed turns, has comparable firepower, and possesses an overwhelmingly better climb rate.

worst 109 to spade in my opinion

from what i have seen and what i expiranced by uing them the yak-9k and the yak-9ut should have the ground targets all aphe belt removed as no mattert what br you take up to it can pen like 99% attack on making it hard to near inpossible to “balance” properly like alot of belts in the past being removed for same reasons i would be better to remove that belt all together ince it caused so my toruble

It’s a APHEBC round. The modifier only applies to APCBC, APHECBC, or APHEC. In one or two cases, it also applies to APC, but never to rounds that only have a ballistic cap. It needs to have a normal cap.
