Updated Planned Battle Rating Changes (April 2026)

F-86F-40 about as fast, more agile
CL-13B about as fast, more agile
IAR-93 craps all over the étendard in energy fighting
F-86K can dance with the étendard for as long as it wants
Alphajets, more agile
MiG-17, nearly as fast and more agile in most scenarios
LIM-5P, need i say more than that?
Su-7, blows the étendard way out of the water. étendard can dodge, but eventually the Su-7 will win.
Swift F.7, about as fast and slightly more agile in most scenarios
Supermystere, flightmodel is essentially a copy paste with some of the speed traded in for better instantaneous turnrate which already gives it an edge in ending fights faster
F-86F-30s beat the étendard in any form of sustained fight
MiG-15s beat the étendard in any form of sustained fight, probably being fully capable of ending the fight on turn 1 before it progresses
Swift F.1, not as fast as the étendard but will outmaneuver it

do you want me to go on? the étendard’s only option is to run away most of the time and it can barely do that. there’s a reason the Hunter F.1 was moved from 9.0 to 8.7, it has the same issue as the étendard.

don’t even get me started on the étendard’s ability to sustain itself in uptiers compared to its peers of equal or even lower BR.

the Étendard is a good aircraft, but not cracked up enough to be 9.0.

8.7 is a fine battlerating for it, nothing will suffer fighting it

why? whats the reason for half of these br increases? these vehicles are perfectly fine where they are

90% of vehicles have almost always been fine where they are, yet the F-15s still went down to 12.7 for no reason.

gaijin just can’t sit still

Yes, by small margins. Etendard can still win that fight by just being a slightly better pilot. Etendard is also not a purebred fighter so this is remarkable.

Undertiered. Have you not been reading anything I’ve been saying about F86 and MiGs?

Not really, not that this matters because Etendard is usually going to end that fight early.

The singular thing F-86K has over Etendard is climb rate. That’s legit just about it. What are you on? Etendard turns about twice as hard as this jet and is pretty much the same speed with similar accel.

They are comparable.

  1. Undertiered, 2. Etendard wins the turnfight, loses if it tries to follow the MiG into some sort of energy trap. Just don’t do that.
  1. Undertiered 2. Same as above for MiG17

Undertiered, as I have already said.

Less agile in my experience

They share almost nothing regarding flight model besides that both are transonic aircraft.

  1. Undertiered 2. Etendard can win any one circle, just not a two circle.
  1. Undertiered 2. The Etendard pulls massively hard in comparison to a MiG-15.

Same thing I said about Swift

Considering I agree with exactly zero of these either due to the fact the MiGs or F86s or Su7 is undertiered, or that I think you’re just plain wrong in your assessment, sure.

The Etendard has an EXCELLENT dogfight fight model. You are not using flaps correctly. It also has excellent guns, better than most of these jets you mentioned.

Blatant undertiering of a jet due to BR compression that gaijin advocates for and then you as well advocate for?

Italy RB BR’s:

  • Sherman I Composite: 3.7 up to 4.0

While the Composite uses an M4A1 front plate, it is the improved 2.5 inch version. Which means it should share a BR with the M4 rather than the M4A1. See my previous adjustments above.

I never really bothered to play the Tiger E seriously, but the smoke grenade of the Tiger E is much more of an advantage than the track armor on the Tigris.

Italy RB BR’s:

  • 90/53 M41M: 3.7 down to 3.3.

Very disappointing machine at its current BR. Just compare it to the M10 which is almost superior in everyway besides explosive filler. This would also give this BR a decent answer in uptiers against KV-1’s.

I forgot he Chinese IS-2 as well but since they’re the same tanks they should also move.

Étendard is not beating a slatted sabre in a dogfight, lol

It doesn’t matter if the CL-13 is undertiered or not, it still beats the crap out of the Étendard being 9.0 right now.

the Étendard isn’t ending the IAR-93 fight early, the IAR-93 is immediately pushing the Étendard’s speed down without giving it a gun solution.

the Étendard’s only turning performance is instantaneous, you want sustained? that’s what the 10.3 one is for.

Alphajets are not “comparable”, they flat out out-turn the Étendard.

  1. doesn’t matter 2. turnfights are entirely optional and the MiG-17 can opt not to do that

  2. doesn’t matter 2. same as above

doesn’t matter

maybe, but still a better fighter

have you played these aircraft?

  1. doesn’t matter 2. instantaneous turn isn’t a magic key to win every fight

  2. doesn’t matter 2. only instantaneously

same thing i said about swift

considering a vehicle being undertiered right now doesn’t matter as we’re talking about BR-peers, no.

i know how to use the flaps, the problem is that you don’t seem to actually play the vehicle, and don’t realise that the plane is useless past two turns and the instantaneous rate is its only real gimmick.

France RB BR’s:

  • M4A3 (105): 3.0 up to 3.3 (was only increased to 3.3 in Arcade)

Same reasons as my US version above. It’s a seal clubbing tank.

the problem is that you think 100% of shots fired will hit the moment the étendard gets nose-on, but the truth is that getting shot is completely optional and the enemy plane can opt to not let you shoot them, which is why forcing 1c and using your instant turns won’t win you every fight

France RB BR’s:

  • M4A4: 3.7 up to 4.0

Same reason as the Sherman V and other M4A4.

i’m not denying that the étendard is a good plane in its own right, i just struggle to see it being 9.0 instead of 8.7

France RB BR’s:

  • AMX-13-M24: 3.7 up to 4.0, and make it Rank III.

For similar reasons as the M24.

and concerning the sabres being undertiered, this BR range of jets is ironically well enough balanced that moving a bunch of sabres up will just straight up break the balance and matchmaker of that region.

the sabres really are not that much of an issue at their current BRs.

Again, you are heavily underestimating Etendard’s turn performance with flap usage, and I didnt say it wins I said the F-86F-40 is not better by a giant gap of performance so you can still outfly the other guy and win.

It does. You can’t compare to undertiered aircraft. That is disingenuous.

There is no significant difference. They more or less are the same FM but with Magics on the higher BR plane. They have different engines but its more or less not changing anything.

It does matter, and I’m not really going to move forward with this conversation until we address this. Gaijin downtiered the very best (the most meta, the best) planes at 8.7-9.3, those being the F-86 variants and MiG-15/17 variants, because they (and apparently only they, despite again being the BEST jets at their old BRs) were “suffering” against F-104s at 9.3. They have never fixed this nor have they even went fully forward with compressing the game further and downtiering all the minor nation jets such as Swifts, Venom, G.91s, whatever at 8.3-9.0 that were not also given this complimentary downtier away from the F-104.

You are attempting to compare the Etendard to the MiGs and F86s that are CURRENTLY at its BR when these are NOT its peers and they have moved lower. The MAJORITY of these plane’s peers are still higher battle ratings. The F86s and MIGs simply need to receive a +0.3br change to fix this.

Not only have I spaded the Etendard, but I have also spaded every aircraft we have mentioned today, full stop. The entire list. At a high performance level as well if that is your next question

Edit: Actually, one aircraft I have not played, IAR.

i won’t be going forward with this either until you address that you are wrong, so that’s that i guess.

The pack Tigers are 5.7 and have better armor than the tech tree version.

90% of the time I shoot it the gunner and transmission get knocked out.
