Just had a match in my 5.0 destroyer for a test. Got some kills, but got quickly, in 2 salvos, dispatched by a 5.3 cruiser. First salvo blackened my WHOLE ship, second salvo finished me off. Tried my attacker and quickly got 2 kills without much of a try. Got destroyer with 1 bomb and a cruiser with the rest (3).
Couldn’t do much more, as there were fighters in the air. Looks like the HE buff is not just for shells, so there could be more bombs flying in Naval as well.
As it is, I definitely don’t want to use my destroyer in a match against cruisers atm, but we all know how often the stupid uptiers are, so good luck with the destroyers as it is.
Btw, where are the change notes about the HE? I see the same stupid thing in tanks rn.
As it is, this just shows how dumb and compressed Naval BRs are. Yeah, makes sense to spawn a cruiser 8 km away from my poor destroyer. Gaijin is the new Boeing. lmao

…It’s a bit better with Coastal, it’s weird how K-class subchasers (Japan) felt like tissue paper while the Liscomb and Brantford (UK) were tanky as all hell.
This update somewhat fixes that… by making them both tissue paper…
just want to say, as someone who plays heavy fleet, i love coastal players. thank you for often single handedly winning us the game by being the very few who actually cap a point

wish i could get more rp in this mode its the biggest problem not even damage models
Because events are continuous now. They have a three day block every three weeks to jam in all major changes. So they rush it to hit those small windows. Saw it with airplane damage too.
