Update schedule messed. December updated delayed? Gaijin finally faced their perfect storm?

We alredy in a middle of november and still no update released.
Gaijin alway put a small effort into october-november updates. It always was just a filler.
But this time they seems to messed up, breaking usual schedule and create a potential threat to a major holidays update.

There is not much time left for a devblogs, then dev-server, then bugfixing…
I’m worring.
Was a just a little fail… or it’s Gaijin’s Perfect Storm coming?

Spoiler

I dont think they fixed ASM’s just in case. No way Gaijin do something without a reason…

Thoughts, guys?🤔

I didn’t see any hint of a naval related Gamemode/Event. I’m seeing a bright future with this “delay” for better updates, with better content.

If this is a sign that Gaijin will put more effort to a Major update with more unique vehicles, new maps and mechanics I’m in favor of less rushed updates that we’ve got in the last years.

so you want them to stop fixing the problems in this coming update and start on the next one makes sense

Don’t think that’s what he’s saying. Pretty sure he’s saying that usually, a War Thunder update tends to come out around now. However, it still hasn’t been released. This means Gaijin is having problems internally with this update’s development. Or realized they might have bit off more than they can chew which is why its delayed atm.

I hope they take their time. I’m in no hurry suffering through 2 or 3 weeks bug hunting because of another poorly implemented update.

No I think it’s that gaijin noticed how messy their last update release was and how many bugs were there, so they finally decided to not release something until it is really ready

Or, and hear me out here: introducing a brand new feature and optimising it to work efficiently across every single platform will take a while.

…And this is before they worry about the actual in-game content being added/modified.

I agree that after all this years of schedule, it seems a bit odd that we don thave the November update.

In the other hand, seeing much and much more being added in the Dev server is pleasant. Even if some vehicles end up not being launched in the Firebirds, its the first time in a while that I see the Dev team working till their haird drop.

For me, postponing the launch or even skipping and doing only 1 really “Major” update in December is better.

And also the Ray Tracing stuff, I think its being the culprid of most of the time. Dont know how much time this feature was in the Oven already, but I prefer something that work, or dont have it at all. Specially something that will cause another “Old video card support” drama. Rember that players using Ray Tracing may have mode shadows and stuff that can inpair their view in some situations.

Additionally, Im using this time to grind all the lines I need to get ready for the vehicles I want in the enxt updates :D
In fact, knowing what to expect in the future for the lines Im grinding is really nice. Wish they shared some sort of “Planned vehicles” sheets with us @Stona_WT (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)

Stay kaml lads, it will arrive. Sooner or later \o/
