Update 2.57.1.111

Ehh I wouldn’t go around blaming others, sure I didn’t like how they played but this seemed like the snail wanting to make it more like Air EC, except with bots if that makes sense.

Could have been dealing with these broken mechanics …but apparently just ditching the whole gamemode is the easier option. Heli EC pvp memories intensify…Where only would naval ec go if on some maps the convoys werent bugged af and one team could end the match by endlessly farming the carrier? Or one team not being able to attack from spawnpoints 10 km in front of an enemy port for 45 min straight?

Like, seriously, what was bad about the Spawn point system as it was lately? As soon as something is somewhat working (well apart from the dumb af missile slingers as starting boats, obviously we needed those thx snail) and whole teams struggling to recover as soon as one team had enough SP to respawn the broken and insanely annoying to deal with FantasietskyFantasuz or Iowa three times? It was still sometimes possible, with torps, Good bomber pilots and greedy sojuz/iowa players.

If they were so eager to balance the mode better and make recoveries more possible, they could have balanced sojuz and iowa vs their competition, Or maybe, just maybe not put 4 sojuz/iowa lineups and maximum 7.7 ships into the other team FFS

OH MY GOD, THIS IS PERFECT, PERFECT!

My BIGGEST and pretty much only gripe with Naval Enduring Confrontation, until now, was having to spawn on small vessels and having to earn your way into actually capable ones with them, as it would very often lead to you getting stuck and stomped if you were unable to earn enough SP points among the first people, specially if you joined a match late. After that, losing your large vessel was a death sentence, as it was impossible to get the SP back once everyone else was on larger vessels.

Now, this is solved! I just joined and I can already spawn a sweet Battleship!

This is why I’m willing to keep giving Naval chances; because the developers continue to put their best efforts into improving it, no matter how adverse, difficult or not-worth it the situation may appear to be.

Are you serious? I hope you have a Iowa or Sojuz in your- oh wait you dont need a lineup anymore. I hope youre planning to play iowa or sojuz starting at 7.7. Cuz youll face these two endlessly in 90% of matches.

No other ship, shiptype, maybe not even planes will be viable anymore in the only naval gamemode so far that was viable for almost every ship and ship type and had its -sometimes nieche but still- place for almost everything.

But what will probably stay is the horrendous respawn costs. Will be fun to respawn hood for almost 42000 sl while not being able to do anything vs a sojuz, iowa or yamato at range.

So you had fun having to spawn 5.0 DDs against Iowas and Soyuzs if you joined a match late?

Or having to respawn 5.0 DDs over and over against CAs, BCs and BBs until you were somehow able to earn enough SP for a BB?

Now that EC is divided in BR ranges, people who want to play BBs can play BBs, and people who want to play DDs or CAs or whatever can play them in their own BR ranges.

No more need to struggle in tiny boats against monsters.

Not always. I also was there to play the big ships, influence and win the match. Some couldnt be won. Sometimes you died a lot. The sojuz that killed you 5 times in your 5.0 destroyer barely got any SP for that. Yes, you died being chanceless. He wasted all that time, and ammunition and didnt get anything of any worth to win the match done by focussing you in a ship thats no real threat to him.

Then one of your torps got lucky and hit the enemy iowa bullying your entire team. + 400 SP

Some were unplayable or at least unwinnable, though most times there was always a spawnpoint popping up somewhere far from the heaviest BBS. Now all will be unplayable. Unless ofc you play sojuz or iowa

The BR ranges are good. Theres no denying that. But within the high br ranges. Happy sailing, Hood. I sure hope there wont be 3 iowas respawning on the point youre trying to cap after sailing for 30 min. and then a sodak. and then a south carolina. And then an iowa again…maybe even a second player that fancies the glorious russian marine and its legendary, battle proven top tier ship with the forbidden name joins the fun and they take turns with playing with you for a bit? Because they can j out from anywhere on the map and respawn there, since no sp account no matter how low is stopping them from doing so.

Nah, it was great in the patch, only thing to patch were J out spam and some other abus.

The things that they could do to increase naval EC was to replace AAs on convoys and airfield (why the . there are missile ships and radar AAs ? !)

Air AIs should not be 9.7 (we are limited to 8.7).

And rework balance of Matchmaking

Yeah well, bye bye naval ec. id click the love button on your post but theres nothing about it that i love. my eyes…time to upgrade my rig to play reforger properly i guess…
Everyone leaving before the match is 1/3rd done like in helipainfullaf EC out of sheer boredom or being kicked for afk after fallign asleep i guess?

I think it’s been broken since the summer of 2025, but ship assist still isn’t working correctly.

It’s only just been changed though? Won’t it take time for more players to know they can now try Naval EC ?
(plus the server issues at the moment)

Sadly, there are several matchs at once, not 1 and only

The change has just been made. What are you expecting?

Then the overall change is good, period.

Being forced to spawn 5.0s versus 6.3+s and let alone 8.7s was simply bad.

The balance issues you mention will be helped when Lion, Alsace, H-39, etc, come as counterparts to Iowa and South Dakota; and when (if ever) Soyuz’s armor is fixed by either getting its 230+mm thick cemented plates be composed of 2 instead of being just 1 solid block the Soviets couldn’t produce, or until its cemented plates are changed to rolled. In no case is forcing you to spawn 5.0s versus them the solution…

just make 2 or 3. lobby range 3.7- 6.3 and 6.7- 8.7?

But LET THOSE SP cost for shipsss !

But this never been a problem IMO.
When players dies from a BBs, they still respawn at the same place… there are other place to spawn …

Where and when you spawn them is the solution. If youre willing to accept that you might die a lot to maybe still win the match. If dying is something you absolutely need to avoid then idk, wt is a bad place for it? As long as the respawn costs arent a lot, and the possible reward is high enough spawning and dying 10 times in a destroyer with good torps is easily worth it. it doesnt matter that you died. the reward and you saving the harbor is what matters.

The balance issues come with playing anything in any bracket that is on the lower end or not meta. Spawning the most op ship to ever be introduced into the game comes with 0 cost and can endlessly be respawned. Right in your face just in the second you finally would have been able to cap a port.

And yes, it wasnt exactly perfect. Especially if the choice of respawn points was poor. The question is: Is that worse than being able to respawn the most op ship to ever be introduced to the game without any cost at all? If theyd somewhat keep the SP cost system, but flattened it a lot, and within several BR brackets that are independently played from each other, that might work. Lets say high bracket: 7.3 to 8.7 (just as an example, no real thought put into the exact cutoff): 7.3s and lower spawn for free, everythign higher needs at least some sp to spawn, but not the huge amounts you need now? Could that work? And killing anything below 7.3 doesnt give SP at all to 8.3 or higher BR ships. Just SL and RP. starting at 7.3 they earn you sp but the curve is increasing exponentially. You could still bully 7.3s and 7.7s in a sojuz or iowa ofc. But your ability to keep doing that and respawning multiple times would be severely affected by doing only that.

Hmmm… this could be something, but it would still potentially involve having to face 8.7s with 6.7s.

Like, imagine facing Iowas and Soyuzs on Konigs and Hieis.

Spawning Emden over and over again only to be vaporized by Mogamis at best, and 8.7 BBs at worst, wasn’t at al engaging or fun. It’s not about not dying, it’s about being able to do… something other than being obliterated by much stronger opponents.

Thats why you need a lineup and thats why so many ships were viable. If you are hellbent to deal with heavy cruisers or even battleships obviously an emden is a bad choice. But maybe you could create a lineup of lets say 8 different vehicles and each has their moment where it could prove its worth.

Im sure you can come up with a ship that might get a bit more lucky in sinking a battleship than an emden, which can still earn tons of sp very quick, if you manage to spawn it vs destroyers or even coastals in the right spot at the right time. far away from battleships or heavy dreadnoughts that are much slower than you…i had tons of fun luring them to a pointless area of the map or keeping them so occupied that they completely forgot about the massive enemy battleship slowly moving into engagement distance from another direction. Some top tier battleships even chased my evading prinz eugen for like 15 km across half the map. Weirdly enough, they were greeted by a wall of torps that might or might not have been sent by me 15 min ago. It would already be funny if that happened only once. It didnt.

Also you do realize that with the sp earning changes introduced maybe a couple of months ago, killing the 5.0 starter ships on end in a 8.7 top br battleship was almost not worth it at all considering SP gain and ability to respawn your ship. If they were no threat to you and especially too far out/aware and unlikely to hit they were basically not worth the cost of ammo (also limited ammo ammount) you would need to spend to sink them? only for them to respawn the same distance on the other side of you?

Imagine facing 8.7 vs a 8.3. This is already a problem …

So the same as regular AB and RB games…? I dont see the problem. Before this change it was whoever can get into a top tier battleship first. Now its whatever BR bracket the match is in. I don’t get how this is a bad change?
