Battle Rating-based matchmaking has been enabled, just like in Naval Arcade and Realistic battles
The requirement to have a ship with a specific Battle Rating (4.7–5.0) to participate in the mode has been removed. Participation is now permitted with any ship with a Battle Rating of 3.3 or higher
The number of players required in the queue to start a mission has been reduced
The spawn cost in Spawn Points for ships has been removed
Arcade difficulty level now uses the difficulty settings from Naval Arcade Battles
A spawn timer for spawning with the same vehicle at the same spawn point has been added
Enemies detected by allies are now displayed regardless of the distance to them
Graphics
An issue where the reference images in the “Water Effects Quality” setting were swapped has been fixed. (Report).
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
What does that mean? Spawn point system has been removed and you can just spawn in anything without it costing sp? So everyone that has it will just play endless rounds of sojuz or iowa? Bc if thats the case that just nullifies all the other good changes (at least considering the higher brackets of undisclosed range). We will see two ships and two ships only for the whole range of 7.7 to 8.7. Cause nothing else is viable there. And playing every nation except US or russia is equally not viable. Cause there will be 8 Sojuz and 6 iowas in the enemy team. Right at the match start. And you in a Roma. or, lets paint a worse picture. In your hood. Good luck sailor :-D -30.000 sl for spawning, maybe try again? surely you will turn one of its compartments orange this time…
I’m not sure if I like these changes or not. Some are good like the spawn timer. But making this a random match with bigger maps doesn’t really feel like a good change tbh
Participation is now permitted with any ship with a Battle Rating of 3.3 or higher
Can we, like may extent that down to 1.0 again? Please. We’ve not been able to use such vessels since the 2nd test after all these years, so many vessels that would be absolutely fun or better than certain high BR vessels.
i mean sure, for 8.7s vs 8.7s. But why would you spawn a 7.7 ship there, assuming it will be in the same bracket if none cost sp, you can spawn them all at match start and you also dont need to play it effectively and care to not die to be able to respawn? Pushing cappoints or too close to enemy spawns at least was a risk for the 700 sp battleships before because the closer and the more greedy/careless you got the higher was the risk of losing a huge chunk of your sp pool to a torp or even the counterplay to go on a 30 min mission to bring one of these behemoths down in a bomber could be viable if it couldnt be dealt with otherwise. Even if you then had to land, rearm and climb again for 30 min.
i dont play naval rb games at all bc they are garbage mostly for that single reason. And the maps. and 95% of ships being bots (that you can farm relatively safely if you grind through a tech tree, but whats the challenge in that? its as boring as it gets. But I’m genuinely happy for the players that enjoy it. Its also quite good for semi safe and possibly harrassment free grinding tho. If you dont have to grind its a different thing though) and at least half the matches especially the 3 cap ones being decided by who brings the better coastal boat in 5 minutes anyways.
Euh, so no. I never get uptiered in naval RB. Because i dont play naval rb. Life hack 10000. Not a single match in the last 1.5 years. Not planning to. And you cant force me. “You aren’t big enough and there arent enough of you to get me in that gamemode ever again”
If i were, for some miracolous reason, lets say my cat fell on my mouse, switched the gamemode to naval rb and then rolled over the “to battle button” ending up in a naval rb match bringing only 6.3 heavy cruisers into a 7.3 match you sure as hell know all id be doing in the next 15 minutes that the cat is forcing me to stay in (possibly by hysterically hissing at me and jumping into my face if i ever look away from the screen), if i hypothetically played that battle, all i would be doing for its entire duration, was wishing i didnt play it and just left before the misery began. And let the cat kill me for leaving, at least its over.
But luckily they rarely last 8 minutes (/s). Maybe getting killed 3 times in your spawn in 2 minutes by ships hiding behind a mountain inside their spawn that you cant even scratch can be a good thing? You get closure. you can move on? All you need to do is silence the voices in your head telling you that all of this is a giant waste of time better spent on something else.
Naval RB being naval RB is what is stopping me entirely in starting to play any other naval nation besides the two which i have finished entirely. I feel 0 desire to play a single RB match. But i love wt naval realistic gameplay. Funny huh?
Naval EC is 4 Days of the Week, startin at 14 pm on Thursday. Thursday is arcade, Friday RB, Saturday Arcade and sunday till monday at around 14 pm for german timezone is RB again. So 2 days arcade, 2 days RB changing every day. Then you have 3 days rest to forge new plans and alliances, get more and more angry at missile boat spammers, go outside to scream to the sky and complain to the deity you chose to believe in about missile boat spammers and people torp spammign and j-ing out and the cycle repeats.
