Relax dude, we all love the game and are painfully aware of unfinished stuff and bugs, but that is just a nature of live service game. It will always be work in progress to some degree.
There are live service games in much worse state than War Thunder.
If anyone in this thread wanted to subject himself to argument of such intelectual depth they just could go to local zoo and stand in front of the gorila enclosure.
Any chance we can get some sort of “toggle” added to the new crew skills window
allowing us to change between vehicle types without having to change the entire line up?
The old interface had this option and it seems to have been left out of the new version.
For players that are maxing out crew skills in slots they use often and are wanting to
add the extra crew skill points to different vehicle types, this new UI is a bit of a
hinderance for doing that.
Adding such a toggle would be greatly appreciated by many/most players I am sure.
Whilst i agree that the current BR setting process is extremely disappointing i don’t think that gaijin is not aware of its flaws. From a corporate perspective it doesn’t matter who is using the aircraft - decisive is the created income on average which determines the research progress.
In order to steer a game or a player portfolio you want to have stable conditions with high confidence levels of assumed player progress. These BR rounds are there to adjust BRs as they over- or underperform based on their given target parameters (SL&RP gain) - and not to create “fair” fighting conditions.
Therefore the only “fair” BR setting would be to determine the BR based on the results of the top 5-10% of all players and thereby assuming that these players would use the vehicle to its max strengths.
The downside for gaijin is obvious: Such a BR setting would kill BRs as an important pillar for controlling player progress. In addition: Gaijin can’t be interested in fair fights as this would reduce the need for premium products.
This is all missing from your update patch; you don’t want the majority of players to know that the Su-30s and BMTPs don’t deserve a truly effective battle rating increase ?
Communication about these kinds of details is important, though…
I got an M1 KVT just as the BMPT was released. 0.5 kdr, 35% win rate, i’ve had it shelved for a month. should be playable soon hopefully, but more changes are needed since the BMPT still shreds at top tier.
Finally foldering the 🇩🇪M44/M55 was a good decision, the similarity between these vehicles means players should not be forced to research them separately especially in non-US TT.
Would be even cooler if they werent only foldered but you could chose between one of the two to research (and play) first and after that get to research the other. The way it is now one of them will always be way less played and/or you still first have to get the other one even if youre only or mainly interested in the second.
According to the spreadsheet, the Re.2005 VDM was supposed to only go up in BR for air RB, but it has been increased for ground RB too. I suspect this pattern holds across multiple aircraft which were only listed as having air RB, not ground RB, increases.
I hope this will be fixed! There is no use case now for the VDM in GRB (I like it for anti-CAS duty) as a 6.3 Italy lineup doesn’t exist. It wasn’t overperforming in GRB, its ARB performance shouldn’t drag it up in another mode.
Pz IV H/J/G are 4.0 now, with better shell selection than the Turan III…but oh,Gaijin was so gracefull they moved the Turan III up in br, in arcade. lovely. Still no APCR and smoke. gear job guys.
I’ve seen even yak-3Us losing to A6M5s
gaijin needs to raise the bar of entry into the sample population for stadistics.
Or even better
Throw the idiotic stadistics balance tool out the window and base BR on aircraft performance.
If they didn’t want players to know it, they wouldn’t have posted it?
It’s not like it’s hard to find, it’s the last post in the most recent BR discussion thread.
