It’d certainly be my second ban after Breslau. Its insane how annoying and hopeless the map becomes once someone starts to spawncamp on one of the infinite amount of power positions around the spawnpoints.

I am very sure the reason we are able to get instant match is the fact that there are tonnes of bot after removing 99.99% of the naval population, which Gaijin did how long will it take to create an match?

It was only at 2.7-4.7 in Naval RB on the NA server that was affected.

Time to wait on NRB is capped at 6 minutes if you’re unsquadded. After that you just get a match with whatever humans there are, even if it’s you and 15 bots vs 16 bots.

On a different note,
I would like to see capital city maps for every major nation in war thunder. Tanks rolling down the streets of Jerusalem, D.C, Moscow, etc. would be really neat.

I like landscape maps. And if cqc, I prefer ruined cities like we have on certain maps. These plastic cities (sun city, sweden etc) are horrible. All this clutter…cars, fences, street lamps, building, hedges, narrow streets, walls and so on. I hate to play on these maps.

Whole naval matches where one player controls like 10 bot ships on both sides. They kill each other with marking shots and autodestruct. Saw this several times, they always have random names and use low ranking DDs. So they quickly grind up to buy a rank IV.

I respect your opinion. I just love city maps. More bombed out ones would be cool too.

When u gonna fix the seamines? I mean its funny to generate water with them but not so funny they “sink” through dirt as it would be water xD

i liked the 1 spawn version its my favorite map just wish they removed some of the flanks on side so bush wookies cant use them

i assume you love advance to the rhine then yes i enjoy this map very much

I know it’s minor, but thank you for finally fixing this.
First time I saw it I thought my monitor just got a dead pixel!
It was one of the very few issues that, although minor, really bothered me.

Breslau doesnt have this fake feeling to it.

Issue with Sweden and Sun City is that 90% of the map is just indestructible buildings with no debris on the streets to hide behind, almost everything is perfect 90° corner and generally traversing it is pain.

Is that really your best argument for Breslau? A lane-based map which is near impossible to defend from a seasoned CAS player and its flanking routes are brainrot?

I thought we were at the official forum to discuss gameplay issues, not aesthetics. Leave that to Instagram comments section or even Reddit.

As I see it, Its the main distinction, but not sole distinction. To me, Breslau plays much like Advance to Rhine, only noticable change being the water cannals.

Sun City is much more “lane-based” than Breslau solely due to the fact that it does not allow any traverse through buildings as they are all undamaged + indestructible, most streets being completly straight and most corners being 90°.

Breslau also does not offer mindless CAS gameplay due to abundance of buildings, just as Advance to Rhine.

I want to point out that you really shouldnt call “fake feeling” a reddit tier worthy argument only to use “brainrot” as way to describe flanking routes.

Nonetheless, how do brainrot flanking routes look like?

Sun City does have gameplay issues tho.

The weird fake feeling can be attributed to clean streets offering little to no rubble or other obstacles to properly hide behind, as well as majority corners being 90° and majority of streets being almost completly straight.

And on top of top of that, most buildings are indestructible, limiting actual traverse around them.

With exception of the C point (the one near the coastline), both A and B cap are found on completly flat area where theres little to no cover against ground units.

All of this this creates relatively static gameplay loop thats mostly centered around corner camping, which will always suck major balls.

All 4 of them are horrible to play. Personly I find Campania the least awful (by a tiny margin).

Are you kidding me? It’s actually great to SPAA on that map. So many places for you to hide your SPAA. Heck, they even give you plenty of dirt mounds and other surfaces so you can angle your MBT to shoot down jets. They’ve also nerfed big bombs (especially 3000-5000kg) and have made them easier to shoot out of the sky than ever before.

The only brainrot I see on Breslau is the traffic jam that occurs on the main roads near C. Some people spend the whole game just shooting up and down that road with minimal success. I had this game the other day where I was the only one on the flank on that side and i got 10 kills and the nuke. If only more people used the flank, people would have a better time at that map. Even the smaller gimped version of that map usually unfolds in a way that you can easily outflank the enemy.

Only if you spawn on the left side, the right side is inherently flawed to do either cannon-based or missile-based SPAA. The map is trash in that regard and there’s little room for arguing. Anyone who has a brain will toss GBUs on either spawn and guess what, because of the building density, you won’t even notice, just like in Rhine.

I’ve got a nuke in Rhine too and I despise that map as well. Getting nukes on maps are not arguments on their quality like, at all.

I’d prefer to play Jenga alone over any version of Breslau, Port Novorossiysk or Campania, that’s saying something.

I thought you were having a go at the flank of that map? I’m not bragging about the nuke, I’m saying that more people need to use said flank because most often they just stink up those two roads near C.

Fair enough. I like all three maps, lol. Only issue is with Campania if you get a team that all goes one flank and it leads to you getting spawn camped. But hey, we all have our own tastes, right?

tbh, I’m about to have another session in an hour or so for next star and the map I’m most looking forward to is Abandoned Factory (C flank of course), which a lot of people dislike.

It is funny to drive along the beach at game start to see if anyone else wants to have a beach duel. I can see how the map has its issues, but it also has its charms. Shooting people who drive up on those bridges is also a joy. You’re right about it being largely a corner camp map.
