Update 2.53.0.65

Near impossible =/= impossible. If I’d said impossible, that would effectively imply no matter the side, defending from CAS is not an option. If that’s moving the goalposts, then shows how terrible the map actually is by only having one side that’s able to defend marginally from CAS.

I happen to like Abandoned Factory as well. My only condition to like CQB-intensive maps is to have an option for medium range engagements without an exponential risk of being flanked out of the blue and being unable to do something about it. The three maps I mentioned before fail to some relevant degree, Breslau (lane based, though some building blocks are empty and its absurdely easy for a light or even a fast medium to camp around unnoticed), Campania (Although every spawn side can be a place for long range engagements, that implies you’re at risk of being spawncamped, not good) and port (Any version is terrible over the criteria I explained imho).

You can fit some helicopters into a building by one of the spawns (fun fact)

To me, this map annoys me more than all those you listed:

People love to go north, it’s always only a few of us contesting south. You have to cut down half a forest with your machine gun / autocannon to even see anything (unless you’re some ulq-abuser, i guess). Actually, to think of it. Many maps I dislike from how teams usually play said map rather than the design of the map itself. But then you could say it’s the design of the map making them play like that…

I don’t blame them though.
Not many like to engage in a deforestation simulator.
