Attica — the hills in squares C2-3 and E2-3 have been made more level. The ability to take overly advantageous positions in squares B5, C3 and F4 have been removed to improve the balance of each side.
Interface
A bug that caused the previously selected player icon to display in the menu and squad list instead of the currently selected one has been fixed.
Other
Game modes with active anti-cheat now utilize the BattlEye system.
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
Kfir C.10 Cockpit has been fixed to match real life…
oh wait… its STILL not fixed.
honestly why did anyone grind this event vehicle. Wrong IR Ordinance, Wrong External model. The real kick in the teeth is the internal cockpit model IS correct (no beams on the front window, just a single piece of glass).
we all spent 2 weeks grinding this vehicle out… least you could do is alter the model to fit its IRL counterpart.
To be honest, this map’s topography and design is so confunsing, if I could limit it to 6.7, it shouldn’t be available for higher tiers, it’s the same problem as Campania, instead, the only thing that separate the teams from completely spawn camping is the plains at the center, which is visible by both sides.
Attica is awful. Thankfully enough people seem to have it banned that it rarely appears. Surely allowing more map bans would be better than having so many people quitting to the hangar and leaving unbalanced teams?
I don’t know about all that, not sure why anyone feels the need for “assistance” in the game at all really. But just for “fairness, balance & continuity” any anti-cheat for the game should be for ALL modes. Either off or on for EVERYONE. This is basic common sense. Surely it cannot cost anymore to run it in ALL modes. And there is no other reason not to run it for Arcade that I can think of. “Oh yes, we have a good Anti-Cheat, very good . . . but you can play this one mode without having to worry about it . . . at all!” . . . . this fallacy is mind numbing . . .
And remove the “Averaging” of BRs in Air AB, it is no longer needed. All it does now is allow players to manipulate the BR for the matches. Highest BR in your line up is the BR the matchmaker uses to put you in games. All modes, all the same . . . make it so.
I am the last guy defending gaijin, but imho you might have to analyze preferred cheating tools in order to understand certain decisions.
From my pov cheating in shooters boils down into 2 main categories:
Find & locate the enemy even he is behind cover (wall hack)
Kill enemies with aim bot support
Technically seen cheats with wall hacks make no real sense in a mode with markers - lead indicators implemented in Arcade modes have similar effects like an aimbot…
That is also the reason why i never met a cheater in Air RB - but watching the vids on “Cheater-Hunter” yt channels shows that those cheats are extremely effective in Ground RB.
Despite playing RB only: Are there specific details within Arcade game play that are attractive for cheaters i am not aware of?
It’s not even a comparison issue between the modes. Either everyone playing every mode has an ANti-Cheat running or no one does, this is not complicated. There is not a “reason” not to do this, at all. I don’t think there are anymore “cheaters” in AB in than in the other modes, and I am not sure you can play without in tank or naval battles, but regardless . . . just turn it on or you cannot play WT . . . . simple . . . it shouldn’t even be an option on the launcher. “If you play our game, there is an anti-cheat program installed that will monitor you”
Period . . . very simple
Does that mean EAC wil FINALLY get removed from the files now? I ask because it sometimes conflicts with BE and causes crashes, but the game still cannot run without it.
Hiding enemies you wouldn’t be able to see. You raytrace from camera position to some predetermined positions on the enemy tank and if it hits you can see them. If you can’t the server doesn’t send your client the data.
