A bug where the mechanics of volumetric shells did not work in battle has been fixed. This has lead to some impossible penetrations in battles and some discrepancies in shell behavior from hits in battle and from the in-hangar analysis tools.
Interface
A bug where the squad marker did not work in Custom Battles has been fixed. (Report).
Other
Various improvements have been made to the stability of the game with the DX12 driver.
A bug where camouflages viewed in the vehicle customization window remained selected, but would no longer be displayed after going to the Market or Wiki and then returning has been fixed.
@OrsonES
Is the bugs list going slow because of the devs taking christmas/winter vacations?
Because in that case we can hold off our expectations for a while.
It should not be removed. Not only is it clearly stated on the Keen Vision crew skill section that the skills apply to Ground Realistic Battles, removing Keen Vision would significantly nerf tanks with the “Improved Optics” modification.
It is very simple to just put points into Keen Vision. You put points into your Field Repair and Agility don’t you? Do the same for Keen Vision. Hardly takes any time to max out a crew slot anyway.
So, just remove all crew skills then, right? Because that is exactly the same logic. Do you have issues with the other crew skills? Or are you one of Realistic players thought they could ignore Keen Vision all this time? Even when other people (like myself) offered evidence and data to show that you should put points into Keen Vision, but where ignored, or even mocked?
Please be honest with yourself and the situation, do you dislike it that you have to pay attention to Keen Vision now, only because you finally realized it affects you?
Other crew skills are not as egregious as keen vision. Not being able to physically see/hear people? That is a unheard of as game mechanic. It doesn’t affect you that much (in ground), but it still should be removed because of how stupid it is.
I have it maxed on all my air crew slots, and for ground I could care less if I have it, because it is not that big of a disadvantage.
Again it doesn’t really affect me in ground which is what I mostly play.
Thank you for your level headed reply. The others who fling Ad Hominem attacks and other logical fallacies have helped prevent a level headed discussion about this issue for years. Like I said, I have tried many times on the forums here to have a conversation about the visibility and related crew skills. But it becomes effectively impossible when most people choose to go on the attack, instead of looking at the data and evidence presented.
I would implore everyone to try and refrain from posting insults or other types of logical fallacies that derail the conversation/debate and prevent us from fully understanding the issue, and moving forward as a united group towards a reasonable solution, whatever that may be.
I still do not think Keen Vision should be removed, however, I fully agree with and support those who find the hidden/silent tanks unacceptable. Either it is because a tank has low Keen Vision skills on that crew slot, or perhaps it is actually “just” a bug in the code. Whatever the case, I only want the game to be better for everyone. Cheers 🍻
Ground battles. Mostly because of my extensive use of light tanks. The 30% increased viability range comes from the “Improved Optics” modification.
This is applied as a 1.3x multiplier to Keen Vision stats. You can see the difference/increase by looking at a maxed out crew for vehicles with the Improved Optics modification. Everything on this list can scout, and gets 30% increased visibility: https://old-wiki.warthunder.com/Scouting

Any change or removal of Keen Vision will significantly nerf all light tanks, and any other ground vehicles with the Improved Optics modification. For me personally, this would significantly negatively affect almost all of my ground lineups.
If the Keen Vision crew skill was removed, I would advocate for vehicles with the Improved Optics modification to still get the increased vision range, or perhaps some other bonus that would offset the removal of Keen Vision.
What does the distance on detection and absolute identification even mean though? I’ve been able to see people 3km out but not 1km. Does the detection distance affect scouting, because if it was removed you would be able to scout at any range no?
