It’s absurd.
I can see a.i enemy bombers render at least 60 km out.
I can see friendlies render over 20 km out (black dot with contrail)
I can also see contrails without a black dot, telling me it’s an enemy.
This is an interesting point to discuss. I have many times been able to see a vehicle (visually rendered) but not been able to scout them. I am not sure how exactly Keen Vision does or does not affect Scouting ability/range.
I would love more clarification on this specific point, but have not been able to find a definitive answer. Not on the wiki, nor on the old or current forums.
Im pretty sure it affects scouting. Whenever I’m stock grinding a light tank it seems that scouting doesn’t work on a person I can see much more without improved optics. I could be wrong though.
It seems gaijin should probably do a rework on keen vision/scouting, or at latest clarify what those things mean.
Was it fixed? It doesn’t work.
