Can be said for every plane that sits around 12.0 to 13.0
Stats gaijin and a sh*t tons of players that sufferd from this plane listend to me
the difference between that F-14 to an eurofighter/F15/Gripen/Rafale is a lot bigger
Better one plane that suffering then the entire 11.7 to 13.0 suffering
No it isn’t. EF2K or Rafale will still fly straight to F90 , doesn’t matter. It’s the player.
inb4 F90 OP. inb4 F-14 IRIAF first 14.3.
I thought you were say that the Iraf were fine because it was carried by the fakour. Now you admit it will suffer at 13.0, good
Probably close to 50% because it’s spammed so much it ends up on both teams every game.
They should just put F-14s in a separate matchmaker at this point so they can BVR larp all day long againt eachother.
Gaijin has always hated the F-14. Stats also are skewed because it’s an American + Event Vehicle. Also, if the “sh*t tons of players that suffered” actually were the majority, a comment in favor of buffing the F-14A IRIAF or leaving it at 12.7 wouldn’t be the most liked comment on the Feb BR changes thread.
That is a different topic and discussion. If anything, moving the F-14 IRIAF up just gives more reason for us to push for more decompression.
I said it in your words
Soon to tell how the f14iraf performance is in 13.0
Lol, all 157 seal clubbers agree 🤣
Dude, I have the F-4S and the F-14 IRIAF. The IRIAF was way worse of a seal clubber, and again again, that was during my stock grind with it. Sorry not sorry your seal clubbing toy got what it deserved.
Shenyang F-5(9.3): first time?
Bro must have been sleeping for the entirety of the Danger Zone update
Poor americans, always the most opressed members of society. Obviously it’s the most liked comment because people paid 50-80 bucks for a plane + another 20 for talisman and they want it to remain broken.
My guess is that IRIAF will do perfectly fine at 13.0 because guess what, even in 14.0 it still has the biggest range and can fire missiles and be completely safe. Not even AMRAAM can compete.
What other plane can do stuff like this?
AND if the IRIAF actually gets the better IR missiles and/or 6x ARH missiles, its value and viability will be unaffected, or even perhaps increased. I keep saying I have it - and it fully deserved to get a BR bump up 😂
Doesn’t really matter when majority of long range ARH shots miss or are successfully evaded. Maybe this is good enough for mindless farming where 1 kill every 2 to 3 games is enough but for actually playing the game you’re better served holding on to your missiles and only using them when chances are good. You can’t really do this with Phoenix/Fakour.
Long range ARH has been around for so long now, players have had ample time to adapt. In fact, the high tier playstyle is shaped by it: all times hugging ground, notching and chaffing. I bet most victims of long range ARH are either bots or novices who don’t take this precaution.
I’d rather have 4x AIM-120 than 4x Fakour, since they are more versatile. They can be used at any range between 1 and 40km or so, and have the neccessary acceleration/maneuverability to react quickly the moment an enemy leaves the safety of multipath line.
Of course compression is an issue, but people overhype the missile so much
Which means it’s completely justified when…
But some are far, far better at doing so than others. If I need to explain why the power gap between, say, the MiG-23ML or a PD Phantom (the later of which can still see it but now only 4 vehicles that completely outclass it… funny how that argument is only relevant to keeping the IRAF at 12.7) is far wider than the gap between those aircraft and the F-5E or the MiG-21bis or, hell, even the overtiered F-104G then I don’t know what to tell you.
My dude. Once you’re past 10km these missiles are first and second place in the game in terms of time to target in a game that has the R-27ER which, while being very dangerous on its own, they also received substantial manuverability buffs a few months back and retain the largest warheads in the game. Unless you’re already maneuvering to notch, if you see “MSL” on your RWR your margin for error is incredibly slim.
Aside from having 9P, I dare you to name an aspect of the F-14 IRAF that does not achieve parity or outright supremacy over every other 12.7 in all metrics. The only thing I can think of, personally, is the F-16As FM, and it’s no coincidence that it also has the worst armaments out of all the 12.7 aircraft.
Seeing as how it would turn the F-14 IRAF into a MiG-29G but without any of the flaws of the MiG-29G, yes it would indeed warrant a higher BR.
The top comment literally says what I’ve been saying the entire time
“Does lazy horizontal 360 turn all Tomcats players hate this simple trick to render their armament ineffective.” It’s wild how y’all will always try to exclude information to drive this weird narrative.
It seems like you just want a wall between 3rd and 4th gens (I do too in some way). The increase in capability is very difficult to balance, and for years the F-14 has been that bridge. You can’t compare uptiers and downtiers between the 3rd and 4th gen. They’re completely different in terms of capability…
The Sejeel has a terrible seeker and 2x less G pull than the ER. It also lacks DL + IOG. It’s worse than the ER. Let’s not even start. The Fakour has the same disadvantages except it actually does have DL + IOG. Their warhead size is because they’re exclusively long-range weapons (meant for taking down bombers originally), So I don’t see a problem.
I’m just seeing you state things… What is the issue here? The missile can easily be spotted from incredibly far away and takes nothing to decoy it.
It’s head-on radar, 12.0 RWR, and very hot engines.
How so? The SMT has 50G ARH missiles, HMD (to go with the R-73), better radar/RWR, better engines, and more (and larger) countermeasures. I would like an explanation of how you conjured up this frankly ridiculous claim.
