A bug that caused all radar types and missile radar seekers to ignore launched weaponry (bombs, rockets, missiles) and chaff has been fixed. (Report).
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
On that note though, shouldn’t radars prioritize piloted craft above munitions when trying to lock?
Currently if two craft fly straight at each other and one fires a missil whilst the other tries to get a radar lock the radar will lock the closes target (the missile) as a priority. That feels weird and counter intuitive.

My radar is always trying to lock a launched missiles coming at me instead of the 100 times bigger aircraft behind it. Gaijin has to implement RCS or just disable munition locking for anything smaller than a cruise missile.
Yes and no, by default the radar will attempt to lock the target with the higher return when too close together/directly in the way. IRL you can tell the radar what size target you want to prioritize (large - bombers, medium - fighters, small - missiles) but in game its all the same it seems. so when you’re in TWS or trying to lock a guy who just fired the radar tries to nab the missile. Its why the best defense against inbound Phoenixes or fakours is firing a barrage of your own. They will switch to your missiles and either intercept each other or will miss, lose you, and yours keep going for the launch craft.
IRL you can tell the radar which of the specific returns to lock and not only size. Many modern radars even has different modes with different prioritization depending on the situation, some even have integrated AI to make that choice on the fly for you.
yeah, but if you are in no mode at all and start the ACM mode that also choses the closest target, sometimes even when that target isn’t even within the search area. shouldn’t it pick the most central target?
This has not fixed any of the ground based radar vehicles issues. Vehicles such as the Pantsir, ITO-90, Tunguska, etc. are still unable to detect or track any munitions fired from enemy aircraft. I have outlined this in a bug report here. This issue may have fixed aircraft, but not ground vehicles.
