Ground Vehicles

  • T-90M — a bug that led to the disappearance of ammunition in the hull when ammunition in the turret burned out has been fixed.

Aircraft

  • A bug where looking through targeting optics, such as target designation pods, enemy markers could be detected at distances exceeding the enemy marker detection capabilities and crew skills has been fixed.

Sounds

  • The engine sounds of enemy and allied ground vehicles have become slightly louder and more noticeable (the hearing distance has not been changed). Tracks have become slightly more noticeable with distance.
  • The BMD-4, 2S25 and 2S25M have received their own, more suitable engine sounds.
  • The Tiger, Tiger II and other tanks with the same engine have received an updated sound that better reflect power and speed.
  • The Pantsir-S1 has received an updated engine sound that better reflects the dynamics and operating modes.
  • The volume balance of the Abrams turbine howl and compressor fan for the player has been changed so that they are less annoying.
  • An ATGM fired from the barrel of a tank has a new and more realistic sound.
  • Firefighting sounds for ground and naval vehicles have been made more noticeable.
  • Wind sound now depends on its current speed on a map. The singing of birds has become more noticeable. Previously, if a shot was fired within a radius of 500 m by a player, birds would fall silent for 60 seconds. Now, the radius has been reduced to 100 m and the resumption time to 10 seconds.

Other changes

  • The level of the War Bond shop will now increase even if the player does not claim the level reward in the Battle pass reward row.

The current provided changelog reflects the major changes within the game as part of this Update. Some updates, additions and fixes may not be listed in the provided notes. War Thunder is constantly improving and specific fixes may be implemented without the client being updated.

I always like to see some work done on sounds, keep it up!

EDIT: Can the crew say less “faster!”? It gets really annoying when you are climbing hill at 2 km/h and commander is shouting “faster!” every few meters.

So what decides the level increase in the warbonds shop now? Is it automatic over time or does it unlock when you reach a certain amount of war bonds?

Probably when you reach the required level in the battlepass

Great! So often I get to Rank VI and have to dump bonds on unwanted stuff (yet more universal backups! ) to claim the 850 without losing too much. Now I can get the shop purchase and then claim the new bonds.

Wow, the new Tiger engine sound is spectacular! Always happy to see nice little updates like this.

Lovely. Thx a lot for the new sounds. But can you fix your game too??? It’s unplayable because of the high package loss and the unstable server connection. Started 3 days ago…

Great, now to fix the bug that happens when you shoot straight trough a T-series’ autoloader rack and it doesn’t go sky high.

Why do you insist on removing this? Refine it a bit and brand it as a valuable feature available for most top tier planes

Where did our loader go? Is he on a holiday? Because he’s been completely silent for me and other people.

Great update though, no more deadly silent Abrams at least!

Am I to understand correctly that you took and made the Abrams loud and audible through half the map again?

Aircraft are still far too quiet in ground battles, even in test drive the sound of your own vehicle (which is set to the lowest setting) still overpowers the two jets flying past at low speeds. The sound recognition distance is still well under a kilometre leaving no reaction time for ground players already suffering from cas spam.

Please address the engine sound of the Vilkas and all other vehicles that use it (Marder, Radkampfwagen etc.).
There is no constant sound for driving, it’s always rev up, stop, rev up, stop rev up

Yes–given proper timing and luck, it may be possible to do ‘considerably better’ with the Warbonds Shop with the level-claim limit bypassed this way.

Warbonds shop and Battle Pass shouldn’t be connected or have anything to do with each other. Warbonds alone allowed everyone to be included and be useful to them. Battle Pass does not.

If the birds where gonna be really realistic a bunch of them should drop out of the trees dead every time a tank fires or HE goes off close by :)

That’s on your wifi and distance from the server. Not their fault

so here’s the thing, it turns out the problem with the sounds was not that they can’t be heard, but that the tanks sound unrealistic… now we’ll live!
