Unplayable F-16AJ

Seems more accurate considering you’re just throwing words than backing it up with anything substantial. If energy is all that matters, why is ariete considered the bane to dogfight against even with supersonics at its BR?

Almost like it has a thing called it will literally hound you and kill you when you drop below mach speed.

Before you say “but it also good at turning” sagit 2 is right there, just without the thrust of the ariete. Sure, you can outrun the ariete when you have enough speed, but saying you can outrun one when you just disengaged from a 1v1 is lying.

The advantage the ariete has against its competition is nothing close to what the F-16 has against its own.

The supersonics ariete has to face have around the similar subsonic acceleration, or worse, and have far worse turn rates.

The ariete would absolutelly slap the F-16 too if he didn’t ditch out.

saggitario 2 is different. Firstly, it is over-tiered because it should be 9.0. And second, most 9.0’s can run away from the saggitario 2/outclimb it just fine, unlike the ariete. Nevermind 9.3’s

This difference is similar to F-16s and MLDs. and most supersonics it face has worse subsonic accel except MiG-19.

This is literally the point im making with the F-16. You 1. disengage at the speed where F-16s have the most engine power 2. have your high drag wings swept out and 3. have less rate speed than F-16 and you think somehow the F-16 has trouble catching?

What?

If I disengage at speed favorable to ariete, I’d be dead. This applies here. You are conflating high speed thrust to all speeds when mig-23 only beats the acceleration beyond mach 1.2

Do you regain mach 1.2 from 800 IAS in 10 seconds? No? Then I don’t see why you’re outrunning an F-16.

(edit: Did testing, MLD trails behind F-16A to get to mach 1.1 from 800 by 6 seconds, yeah ain’t outrunning anything)

About the numbers.

MiG-23MLD has ± 5.4m/s^2 at mach 1.1
F-16A has ± 4.9m/s^2 at mach 1.1

MiG-23MLD has ± 7.8m/s^2 at 800kph
F-16A has ± 11.2m/s^2 at 800kph

Where is the 50% more acceleration? Not even the typhoon has 50% more acceleration.

This is taken from WTRTI which takes info from locahost. Statshark is known to be inaccurate unless you want to know basic stuff like top speed

It is up to 50%. Even the numbers you provided at 800:

Is 43% higher.

And you said its inaccurate, but literally in the graph

Are roughly the same numbers you yourself provided.

At 1000IAS, this is

So for the whole 20s-30s duration where you are trying to run from the F-16A, he’s outaccelerating you. And you’re suggesting MLD is catching? Sure…

In this case its similar, but from my experience, I just don’t take statshark at face value

Afaik, statshark has been proven to be more accurate than WTRTI lol

Fyi, this is statshark’s time to speed from 800IAS at 100m:

You won’t be catching a MLD unless he dumbly commits, thats my point. Especially when you have to start with a positional disadvantage with low altitude, nor notching, or both.

You won’t gain distance in any meaningful time before he reaches very high speeds, which he can maintain at 102% afterburner or do a shallow climb. Without sparrows, you cannot punish him for ditching out like that

And is the average wt player known for being smart? Not really, right? So this is only applicable for like 1 out of every 10 or more MLD players.

And as proven before (and with your own acceleration), the acceleration difference is 40-60%. That’s a lot from 800 IAS you need 30s to outrun.

I thought we were talking about plane capabilities and not average player skill

Same XL thread points out how WTRTI have issues with other values such as STR. And even then your own data has shown to be similar to statshark.

So “plane must be played in very specific way” to not get run down by F-16 is the takeaway.

Yeah… Not exactly the “better than F-16” that you were claiming. Why don’t you make a thread saying MLD is actually better than F-16A and see the response? I’m sure many will point out the issues I did.

Then you didn’t read the thread. WTRTI is proven to have around 0.1-0.2deg/s error in worst-case scenarios, statshark can be 40x that.

Yet the thrust I showed you is within your own margins? curious. If you say it can be 40x, where’s the proof?

Flying straight requires so much skill

uh huh.

I’m going with your logic there, don’t uh huh me

Self citing is not proof. This is high school basic. And in those two links others also point out inaccuracies in your own data.
