United States WR (Win Rates)

Hey, this is an updated post to (Top Tier USA is not that bad.)

Hey, if your here from my last post you know I said I would collect my own data to try to see if the WR on the WT Data Project is correct. I have reason to believe it’s not. I did intend to collect more data but I have work coming up and realized the date I set for myself to get the data just can’t happen.

Yesterday, I only played 10 games and the data I got for it does not correlate to WT Data Project at all. Yes, I know that 10 Matches is not a lot so before I get to the WR I do think you should try playing USA top tier and recording your own Win Rates to see if the results are similar.

Okay so, out of the 10 Games I played I got a total of:

WINS: 3
LOSSES: 7

That brings my Win Rate to a 0.3% or 30% this seems about right to me as it doesn’t seem like much has changed so I don’t even see a reason why the Win Rate should go up. (Also, For the people wondering the WT Data Project Said USA Win Rate was 46.234%) If something big has changed and I maybe got unluck someone please tell me. But from what I’ve heard nothing has.

Okay now how can we fix this? I will always stand by two things when it comes to what (NEEDS) to happen in WT for USA to become a competitive nation for Casual players.

  1. Germany, Russia, and Sweeden Should not be on the same team.
as I said in the last post these country’s being on the same team is like mike Tyson fighting a newborn, it’s just not fair. Although USA has amazing firepower one thing, they lack is amor and if all that amour is on the other side… I think you know what happens 99% of the time.

  2. This isn’t really a way you can fix things but. I don’t think some people know (correct me if I’m wrong) nations like Russia, and Germany in WT are using tanks still in service to this day. for example, there are countless stories of how a t90 gets blown up. It happens like every day. I’m not too sure about the 2A7V but from what I can find it says it’s still in service as of 2022 I can be very wrong about that so don’t flame me too hard. But something people tend not to know about the USA is that the----------->
M1A2 SEP V2 isn’t in service anymore or at least that’s what I think as the USA has upgraded the M1, 2 more times now at the SEPV4. And now they are coming into the next “era” of MBT’s by coming up with possible MBT designs such as the AbramsX. I do think that the USA needs a new MBT to try to stay in top tier. I think this wouldn’t be too hard but maybe add the M1A2 SEPV3 + M1A2 SEPV4 in one patch. even though a ton is probably still classified I do think it could make the M1 on par with other MBT’s in WT. And then when the tanks like the Germany KF51 Panther come into the game they could make the USA counterpart (AbramsX)

Thats all I have, I’ll try to reply to comments, and if you find me wrong about any info, I stated please don’t start an argument with me just tell me what’s wrong so I can get my facts strait.

-Thanks Dom, Have fun when the update drops.

Russia, when paired with Germany or Sweden doesn’t make much difference, the player numbers always tend to be for the USSR vehicles and German vehicles, which forces it to be in separated team. The Sweden vehicle number when paired with USSR is up to 1 or 2 players/match.

Yes, USA can have more later equipment but good as you stated — they’re classified and Gaijin would rely on “I guess this is…”, either making them overpowered or blatant bad.

Out of topic: Hopefully we, players, get access to more advanced vehicles to tech trees that really need them. Germany doesn’t need a KF-51 Black Panther neither USA needs the AbramX, both are tech demonstrator and we don’t have a hint if it’s a final product to enter production. The best we can have of super advanced vehicles is the EMBT that would fit better to France because Leopard 2A7V still a very effective vehicle.

SEP v4 was cancelled in favor of making the M1A3. v3 probably won’t be added alone as it would have to have a rival added (like the T14). The US could also use some newer SPAA systems aside from the ADATS. The Linebacker, SLAMRAAM, and Centurion ADS could be good additions there. The M10 Booker has been passed to the devs since last year and well hasn’t turned up. As for the current “passed to developers” for US Ground Forces, the only one listed that has come to the game is the T77E1. I’d honestly like to have the turret ring become volumetric and maybe look back into the DU debate.

the t14 and sepv3 are not rivals as 1 is an in service upgrade and the other is pretty much still in the testing phase and hasn’t seen real combat, the real counterpart would be a later version of the t90.

I’m speaking from a perspective Gaijin would have. The SEP v2 was the “rival” of the T-90M. The v3 would most likely only come with the T14.

thats def not the perspective we have seen the devs have biggest example is them keeping the releases of the both f16s and mig 29s in the same patch same with the su27s and f15s theres a 0% chance the t14 gets added along with the sepv3, it would in their eyes be in the same camp as the abramsx

Germany and Sweden sure they can be together because Germany gonna need Swedish CAS and fighter to cover them plus both of them are European nation
It Russia however that not on the same team with both of them
but anyways the US WR is its own doing nothing can help apart from players stop having skill issue

Biggest issue for the US is its popularity at top tier.

It draws in the most new players and 1dl.

Second biggest issue is the spaa. The adats isnt bad, but the planes have increased in strength without an increase in spaa strength.

US losing when Germany, Sweden, and Russia are on the same team isn’t because those nations have better vehicles- if that was the case then they’d have much higher win rates (and KDs) than any other nations, not exclusively the US being low.
It’s because there’s no one to carry the American noobs.

while i agree noobs are a prob on the us team for sure nation team comp dose play a big role in if your going to win the match, for example in the rare game where its Russia and America vs everyone else’s its not usually the Russian tanks at the top of the leaderboard but instead its us players that now both have good AA on their side and the best CAS in the game.
Also if you put the nation with the newest players and a ok tank vs the nations with both the most experienced players and the best tanks its the game its obvious why its gonna be a loss

US mains will watch 80% of their team in Clickbait’s and AIM’s go back to hangar within 2 minutes of the match starting, with 0 score and 1 death, and be like ‘the problem is we don’t have Sep V3 yet’.

We can add Sep V3. We can add M829A3. We can add F-22. We can ‘x’, ‘y’ and ‘z’. None of it matters when a couple minutes into every match you’re outnumbered 3-4-5 to 1 because too many people one death dipped.

As far as I read the sepv4 was near completion. Its rollout date wasn’t for years, but tech wise they’d already made huge improvements. And was basically on to the testing and polishing phase. I’ll try to go find it. The improvements they wanted to make over the sep3 had already been decided, designed and implemented. Now it was just the testing and fine tuning portion of the process to make it all work. I think there is enough known about the sepv4, that if included would be more of a match for the t14 for example. As that would be more of its contemporary, not the v3.

Funny enough i agree with you on that 1, the most popular nation in the game should never have a way of paying your way to top tier since it floods the mm with 1 death leavers and noobs, but the devs saw a way to make money and killed us top tier in the process

It’s not even a new phenomena in game either. We watched top tier Germany winrates crash for ages when 2PL was added. We watched top tier RU winrates crash when 80UK was added (Tho tbf this wasn’t as bad because Russia was all dominant at that time so the ‘crash’ was more like 80%>50% lol).

It just always seems like US premium spam hurts more than anyone else. Maybe that’s because of how popular they are with newer players? Idk. But as someone who doesn’t play top US ground, it’s always such a chore when i’m put on their team. They self sabotage.

No other nation ingame seems to have such an insane volume of one death dippers, and even the ones who do respawn come back in something useless like an F4S / Greekpache that just gets nuked by a Pantsir (or worse, they do ‘the funny’ and come back in a locust). So much SP… wasted. I wish people who left matches early had their remaining SP divided amongst those who remain in the match.

honestly i think the sep v3 could help in 1 way, my theory as to why tanks like the 2a5,2a6 and 2a7 are the same br is because the devs cant increase the brs for tanks cause if they did the us wouldn’t have a top tier mbt since the sep is pretty much just a upgrade to themals in game, and the sep v2 is the same tank but worse with no real armor buffs, adding the sep v3 would force an new br past 12.0 for tanks like the 2a7, sepv3 and BVM allowing a bigger gap between the prems and top tier.

I always say that gaijin would have to make every forward facing pixel 2 meters of rha on the abrams for their win rates to reach near 50%.

You are extrapolating your ten matches to thousands that Thunderskill has???

No, that project isn’t accurate since it doesn’t include all matches played, but it’s far better than your 10 games analysis.

If we wanted accurate WR metric someone would need to get match resoults of every single match played as well as nations played in that match.

Independent data has been a much better source than Thunderskill for the last 3-4 years at least.

Such as?

The problem with win rate is that there are so many factors at play which determine it which makes it difficult to use in any meaningful way.

The biggest factors that spring to mind though at top tier are:

  • Nation popularity (appeal to newer/lower skill players)
  • Nation premiums (ODLing especially)
  • Nation line-ups
  • Nation CAS and viable anti-air vehicles
  • Combination of nations in teams
  • Map types
  • The vehicles themselves
