Realism is long gone. You should accept the reality.
United Korea tree very much makes sense and welcomed by a lot of peoples, and even Gaijin confirmed it. Keep denying it anyway if you want.

Realism being gone in the sense of historical nation match-ups doesn’t mean realism is gone elsewhere (and despite all the criticisms, most vehicles are indeed as historical as they can get in a half-realistic, half-arcadey video game like Warthunder).
There’s no point rejecting a United Korean tree on those grounds when we have countless examples of other nations breaking those rules (as you mentioned, PRC + ROC, or BRD + DDR). You may not like them, and that’s fair, but it is the precedent that’s been set.
But above all else it doesn’t matter, now that Gaijin has confirmed their plans for a United Korean tree. It is (most likely) coming. We should be spend time trying to make it as unique as possible, which is my goal with this suggestion, not rejecting it as a concept entirely.

It’s not a precedent, Gaijin isn’t really consistent on what they do, but yes, it’s unfortunately likely they’re going with a united tree. Even though they are at literal war.

KJU recently toured the factory where the NLOS missiles (designation still unknown) are being produced. The KCNA article just refers to them as “tactical guided weapons” (전술유도무기). These are the missiles on the ‘M2018’ and ‘M2024’ ATGM carriers (and a few other vehicles I haven’t made suggestions for (yet))

- Comparing it to the AFT09, it’s larger, has near identical missiles (other than the guidance method, which should hopefully allow firing on the move), but might be able to carry more missiles in the hull. So only 0.3 higher seems more appropriate.
- [KP] Sonyeon: BR 7.0 → 6.3.
- Given that it can only carry 12 122mm rockets, having it at the same BR as the Type 75 MLRS, which has 30 130mm rockets, was a bad choice. The Chuch’e 79 122m SP MRL sort of replaces it at 7.0.
1. T-34-85 No. 312 was the first North Korean tank to enter Seoul in 1950, and is currently on display in Pyongyang. 2. The Chuch’e 79 122mm SP MRL is a domestic copy of the Czechoslovakian RM-70, and carries 80 122mm rockets
I’ve been working a lot on my website aiming to document all North Korean vehicles recently, and I hope I can share it within the next few weeks, although it may very well take longer. It’s looking good so far!

The Ch’ŏnma-20 has been shown in exercises for the first time, alongside a new variant of the Bulsae-5 8x8 ATGM carrier (this time with only three launchers, instead of five). First look at the APS working too.
Edit: Although on a second look, I think the ATGM carrier can still carry 5 launchers. On the close-up, it looks like it still has mounting points, and some of the vehicles look like they’re only carrying one or two launchers. Not sure why they’re not showcasing them with all five.

How would the flag symbol appear for the tech tree?
Multiple options IMO
Either a split flag, the official unification flag, or the South Korean flag as standard (with the option to change it to the DPRK flag like with all other nations) [which may entail treating the tree as a South Korean tree, with a North Korean ‘subtree’]
I don’t think they’d go with the second option, might be too political for Gaijin. I’d bet on the third option, but we’ll see.
