How is this balanced at all (this is using the M830A2 APFSDS)
Armor analysis is the big lair considering how bad can be volumetric some times, and you are using the top meta vehicles as example, why don’t you consider looking for the others?
Armor is one aspect of a tank, yes. One aspect.
Like another user said, armor is a single metric. Top tier Russian tanks have worse turret traverse, horrible gun depression, depressing reverse speed, a mediocre round, and relatively poor survivability given low crew count and ammo/autoloader location. This is offset by good forward mobility, great armor, great thermals, lower profile, and laser warning devices. The balance is never perfect. You could argue that certain factors matter more than others and that these vehicles are still quite unbalanced. But you need more complexity than just X factor is better in Y vehicle than Z vehicle, therefore Y vehicle is better than Z.
Murica suffers
Let’s address the rest of aspects of 11.7 Abrams tanks in game:
doesn’t have the best pen at top tier (2nd best behind german DM-53).
doesn’t have the best reload time (on par with japanese autocannons considering ace loader, without it falls to the 5th best reload time).
doesn’t have the best mobility (M1A2 onwards, remember, this is at 11.7).
doesn’t have decent survivability (the only nation that suffered exponentially more than the US was the Italians, but you folks in the end got a fancy 2A7, for the Abrams series, it seems that it won’t have a solution at all).
In conclusion and same as US air some patches ago: America’s top tier has several tanks that gets praised for being the best overall without shining at anything in particular, whenever there’s a top tier vehicle up front, you can sure pen it considering decent aiming skills, but that is not going to justify the mayhem the US has been through by having a worthless hull at 11.7 that can be penned at most of angles even with the most suboptimal round of said rank, and that’s something has been there for quite some time now that everyone tends to ignore.
And please have some broad vision, you’re not talking about a minor nation with a statistically minor percentage of the playerbase that clearly may have some issues. You’re talking about a nation that on paper should brawl against the balance of Germany, the vehicle’s depth of Russia and (for some time) Swedish’s fotm.
I don’t have an Abrams but they’re always the easiest tanks to kill aside from Italy and France. Leo2s are complete hell to fight against.
Russian main detected.
Why do you make out the Abrams UFP to be green when it’s an auto-ricochet in reality?
You’re deliberately (or maybe out of pure ignorance) not using the correct vertical angle setting in the protection analysis to make it seem like the Abrams UFP is a pen, when it isn’t. For any APFSDS in the game.
Everything you said it’s literally like in real life, their tanks are so bad and always behind when it comes to modern technologie, putting alot of ERA on the front and hope to not get hit by an RPG and your whole crew vaporize.
The lowest pen shell can kill the Abrams easily like if its made from plastic.
Why not just play the tank differently. The Abrams is not the worst top tier vehicle, now I am not saying it doesn’t struggle because it sure does but a lot of the time I wouldn’t even say a “skill issue” its more of people just not playing the vehicle right.
There are worse vehicles than the Abrams BUT they all still have redeeming factors so does the Abrams. The fast reload really helps it, yes it goes to 6.5 on a stock crew but someone who is playing 11.7 should have at least some crew upgrades and remember the T-80’s reload is 6.5 and that cannot be made faster, yours can just by playing vehicles in that crew slot. The gun depression is great on the Abrams, the only tank with the same is the challengers. The second best round at 11.7, yes its second but that extra pen really does help it out a lot.
Basically what I am saying is that there are worse off vehicles but they still all do well.
I agree but if it isn’t for maps, I wouldn’t be complaining about this a lot. Armor becomes the deciding factor of who wins a gun fight in CQC combat

I dont know how someone can say that did have fun in a match like this (in ANY team).
US 11.3+ tanks ARE good but have a MASSIVE problem called turret ring, literally anything break that shit and become impossible to hit back 90% of the time, which makes playing extremely boring, frustrating and much more difficult than other nations. And you don’t even have to agree with me, the numbers already show that. GER and USSR also got 11.3 prem tanks and the problem is not even remotely similar (if you would arge about low levels at high tier)
When i play my GER lineup i dont even remember the times that I couldnt fight back because the turret ring was broken. When play US is EVERY. SINGLE. MATCH. AND. SPAWN.
