Ultra low graphics players need to not play rb

Computers that still use things like GTX 800 or 900 series will most likely have era-appropriate CPUs that will struggle greatly with 2026 WT.

an AMD athlon would run this game dude. so a 2010 gaming pc equal (literally any modern laptop lol) will do good

worst case scenario, anything with 6 cores is gonna be new enough to run this game easily too

There’s a big difference between running and running smoothly.

yeah like a 2018 Chromebook will run I just fine with little to no lag, you’ll have your moments but for the most part it’ll run nice graphics no problemo

Yep, credit where credit is due. War Thunder is actually quite decently optimised. Ive got some games I can barely run on medium graphics at a playable FPS. But War Thunder, absolutely maxed out well over a 100 FPS, usually more like 150, lovely and smooth

To be fair, if we are really going down this topic, instead of paying for a better PC, pay up and play an overpowered vehicle like T58 gives you way better advantage than any graphics setting 🤷‍♂️.
Also I’m on high for the shadows and such and medium for the others, the trees turn to their lower-res version about 500 meters out. The low-res version of the trees and bushes actually block more due to how low-poly it is and it doesn’t move with the wind, giving someone with higher settings an advantage. So even if I’m not on ULQ, it’s still not gonna be “fair” unless there is just one single graphics setting.

At this point the stuff you need to run even medium graphics is fairly cheap. They should lock it behind a benchmark like you and others have said for sure

Also you forgot to mention that on ulq upper tree part turns into mess you cant see through at all. Especially when there are few trees.

Pay to win not pay to winning sadly. Thats also lie btw, they display just fine even on ulq. And also turn into mess just like tree canopy.

Forum people look for fair gameplay in all the wrong places lol.

This.

I feel like if your PC can maintain a consistent 60+ FPS in a benchmark set at low/medium settings, then you should be locked from putting your graphics into ULQ mode.

ULQ exists for a good reason as to allow players who are scraping by with the bare minimum hardware to play and enjoy War Thunder; not for sweats to cheese the game and gain an advantage over others while running at 200+ FPS.

Benchmark locking isn’t even a bad idea. Most people who play the game probably have devices that can run medium at 50+ fps

My brother’s ancient 2013 HP laptop with a dual-core AMD A6 processor can somehow run War Thunder on a mix of low/medium settings with a constant 60 FPS.

War Thunder is insanely well optimized for what it’s worth.

Definitely one of the things WT is excellent at compared to other current titles

And 50 fps is epitome of playability ?

my PC does too, thats just WT being WT with stutters on occasion. 99% of the time this game in incredibly well optimised for what it is

50 fps is perfectly fine for war thunder it isn’t a CSGO pro lobby

So limit everyone to 50 fps if it’s perfectly fine.

I think you have a bit of a bottleneck

50fps used to be the best you could get for video games in europe lol. yes thats a perfectly playable framerate.

some of my favourite games ever run at a stable 20fps on the original hardware and trust me that is still perfectly playable and tolerable to go back to.
