(Last Photo) This photo is 14 years old, and speaking purely about this car, this car (tank) was repaired a long time ago and has been used for a long time. But it was “hit” and destroyed so that it did not reach the enemy! To be honest, I didn’t expect to see him here…
Are you talking about T-72AV?
Yep
Was it destroyed though? These photos with T-72AV from 4th brigade were recent Ukraine Ground Forces Tree - #2466 by Sarmatiko
Or was it different specimen?
AFU should have had more than a dozen of those (and also some T-72UA1) according to news piece from December 2014
it is difficult to explain, there were several types of T-72AV stored in Ukraine. The information was not accurate from the very beginning (I am talking about the number and type). Thanks, the T-72AV was not brought from Kharkiv. (it will be clearer)
If we talk about the photo itself, it caused a stir among the factory workers, I even had to go to Kharkiv twice then. (I’m from Kyiv) I remember that T-72 because I saw it through these photos, and because of that measures were taken to protect the facility where the equipment is stored! Most of the Cherech tanks were taken out for modernization and repair for some time.
Indicator of what is in the photo “Cyrillic” KA-0636
It is quite easy to guess what the first letter means, the second is “queue”, the first two numbers are a row. his last parking lot number
T-64BV obr.2022
It can be clearly seen that it lacks 9M112 Cobra GL-ATGM (AT-8 Songster) radio signal transmitter . Maybe it is due to it being modernized from T-64 without the system, or it was removed due to some reason. But if FCS is not changed to 1G46 (M) it cannot use GL-ATGM at all.
Stroller canopy cope cage! :D
I have not even a single idea what the stroller canopy is, but is this specific cope cages are referred as " Folding cope cage". Specifically for better mobility and “comfort” in forests so it won’t break from a little tree branch and block the crew inside.
i’m just implying that the cage looks like the folding hood part (called a stroller canopy) of one of these ^^
Back on-topic it seems like a somewhat niche addition for the TT as it’s essentially just a T-64 without the ATGM addition for its ammo loadout.
Thanks for educating me on the matter.
It’s not quite the standard T-64 as it has thermals, should have better turret rotation speed, and we can’t be quite sure about ERA, because in the same Kontakt-1 boxes can be Nizh ERA (models 19P and 34P specifically)
Don’t want you guys to think I forgot or stopped. Waiting for some clarification on some stuff. I reached out to Ukraine Defense Industry representatives for some information.
Edit: I’m also going to check DVIDS for more images of the US purchased “nerfed” Oplots.
God almighty he is CHONKY
Imagine this NOT chonky T-84 with side ERA that BM Oplot has (Real CHONKER) fnd the same ERA on the sides of autoloader
A little time has passed, so you can write
Captured (Trophy) from 1-3 of the latest T80BVMs mod 2023 year
there is not enough T-14 and I will be happy!
Say I know it’s just a suggestion but have the devs seen this or no? Would like to see a Ukrainian tree
Anything made in their respective nation during their time as part of the Warsaw pact should be added to a seperate tree that is dedicated to Warsaw pact vehicles to save over representing a single nation (USSR)
While waiting for the Ukrainian rep to get back to me, created two new pending suggestions, both of which are equipped with Hard-kill APS:
T-64BV (Zaslin)
Object 478BME2
Honorable Mention:
If anyone knows the status of any of the Zaslin-family of APS (beyond Turkey) in-service with Ukraine or just other prototypes like a possible T-64BM ‘Bulat’ with it or something, please share in the comments. Also if there’s more images of the Shershen/Zaslin-L equipped BMP-2. I found more images before but now I can’t find them.
Edit:
