Ah yes forgive me “ladies and gents”.

Its not the “next” modification though. Explain Israel vs US?

The Ukrainian modified and domestic vehicles blow russias out of the water at this point. Its literally a better russian TT that has tons of western equipment. Youre purposely leaving out all of the western MBTs and equipment

Infact i wouldn’t even compare Ukr to Russia like Israel to US. The Ukr tree has far more variety to offer than the afforentioned comparison

I have seen discussions on a Russian forum. But no one talked about it here…

IIRC there already was suggestion for them in there.

Yeeee this thing is cool, I posted it here a little while back

Yeah there’s a good few of us that play war thunder lol

Air and helicopters can be rectified but that will take a long time as in, will rely on what Aircraft Ukraine will receive over the next year+. If Ukraine purchases or receives through donations a Western Attack Helicopter(s) (likely), or produces its own helicopters from scratch with western kit (unlikely), it will be fine. As for Aircraft, same case. The introduction of the F-16, as well as possibly others would allow it to function fine but in its current state it’s anything but complete. Not that it couldn’t survive currently, there’s just not enough aircraft yet. While I really like the MiG-29MU2’s modifications and such, the highest Rank it would make it to is Rank VIII (this is assuming after the introduction of very modern aircraft with BVRAAM capability). The only way it would make it higher is if Ukraine were to integrate missiles like the AIM-120 and improve the fire control, Radar, etc. of it. It does have the Gran A2A missile, the AGM-88 HARM, and KH-29T missiles too which would function fine now but later on it would face fierce competition. It also has modernizations of the R-27 being the R-27ER1 and R-27ET1 missiles which have a significant range however, it would be outmatched by newer AESA RADAR’s and certain BVRAAM’s. By the time this has the possibility of being added to the game, there’s a prospect that these other parts of the tree will have more to offer.

Coastal is a long term issue, relying on indigenous manufacturing, restoration of the Frigate that was sunk, as well foreign purchases and donations so I don’t expect that anytime soon after the tree being implemented or if it is implemented.

This tree will not be added in the near term so as things are updated, the air, ground, and coastal trees will be updated. We’ll see where it goes. Regardless though, the idea of the tree or Ukraine in-general is a well requested suggestion so it will be interesting what happens.

So, this is basically being operated off of hopes.
seeing the slowdown of equipment pouring into the country most of this seems unlikey, especially the helicopters.

Weapons, vehicles, aircraft, etc., and there requirements change over time. There’s multiple projects and such going on right now. It’s not hope, its kinda sad to see such a statement when nations like Turkey, South Korea, and others wouldn’t be an option a few years back but have purchased, modernized, and developed there own armed forces and equipment.

I get you don’t like the idea of Ukraine being an independent nation in-game and I respect you having that opinion but fuck man. No tech tree is perfect. Poland isn’t perfect, Yugoslavia, South Korea, etc. aren’t perfect. It takes time for development and changes.

Edit: Not to mention, even if it’s attached to the USSR/Russia tree as suggested before as a tab, its still going to be the same problem.

It’s not that I don’t like the idea of a independent Ukraine, in fact I want to see Ukrainian vehicles instead of more Russian ones, their innovations are more appealing imo, it’s the problems that will come with it, it’ll have its own share of being dramatically lack luster like stated above, it’d be a very depressing tech tree, it would be a sad fate imo. You could try to supplement it with another nation, but who would that be? Belarus? Georgia?

I don’t mean to come off as a person who doesn’t want to see a Ukrainian tree, because that’s not what it is, I just want the best possible outcome for Ukrainian technology and for all of it to be supplemented properly, even if that means putting them into a existing tree, nothing is wrong with that. Some may see it differently and that’s fine.

I completely understand it will come with its problems. I want Ukraine to be added as well and I am fluid on ideas for it and will throw my weight behind something that is balanced and fair. The problem is the same thing can be said for any other nation tree to be added. Many other nations that have been suggested all have issues with gaps, missing vehicles that can’t compete in certain areas, etc. as well. It’s just finding intermediate solutions or waiting for developments to occur to fulfill those gaps. As for additional nations for it, there’s ideas but I’m going to wait on that until I complete my current projects on the matter.

I’m absolutely all for fair criticism and reasoning on the matter. I would like to come out with a fair idea that has a majority backing as well.

@Yontzee Quick question. How do you make a fake tech tree like for what you did with the Ukraine one?

Imagine if the BM Oplot had the autoloader of the Yatagan, but the same armor layout and such. It would be a monster if it could use 120mm NATO-standard rounds.

Not to mention, according to there previous defense minister they were going to produce more. I wonder if that has started and if it’s going to be something similar/what kind of new upgrades it will have,

A switch to 120 mm would be a logical move for Oplot’s future. Because Ukraine is stuck with old 125 mm ammunition and so far failed to mass produce newer shell types such as APFSDS. Developing new ammunition for 125 calibre from scratch will cost a lot, hence switching to already well developed 120mm nato standard will be cheaper and more reasonable (Ukraine already uses shells such as DM53 on donated Leopard’s). Another reason standardnazing with NATO ammunition type is one of main goals for Ukrainian army. The only problem is how the autoloader issue going to be resolved.
