Japan: Is it for us? ( =①ω①=)
While it would only work in infantry most likely, here’s a scimitar with a Kpvt instead of the L21A1

It would be nice 1.3 light tank
I think the early export T-84 «Oplot» (Object 478DU8) is going to be the new squadron vehicle in the Japanese tree, as Malaysia didn’t actually buy it back then.
I just hope that when its time comes, it won’t repeat the technical state of the BTR-3E1 (which is still broken)…
What is wrong with btr3?
Firing on the move I think
To keep it short, here is the list (putting aside a few naming errors regarding some of the weaponry):
- Unable to fire ATGM on the move:
Community Bug Reporting System - Incomplete commander control duplication:
Community Bug Reporting System - Incorrect and incomplete internal spall protection:
Community Bug Reporting System - Missing armored bulkhead between compartments:
Community Bug Reporting System - Incorrect gun vertical limits:
Community Bug Reporting System
Also, the game does not take into account the presence of a metal frame around the gun on the BTR-3E1 and its absence on the BTR-80/82, due to which they have equal accuracy when firing in bursts:

I won’t be surprised if they wanted to equalize the BTR-3E1 with the ‘counterpart’ from another tree (to which, however, they gave the ability to launch ATGMs from behind obstacles (IRL the ATGM is not controlled from inside the vehicle, a crew member is required to be outside), being practically invulnerable in certain situations, and didn’t model the crew member who is supposed to stand on the armor to guide it, because of which additionally this vehicle received the ability to launch ATGMs 360 degrees, without horizontal limits, although the person who controls it couldn’t control it in all positions).
(Also funny how the developers approached that they added to certain vehicles the need for time to deploy weaponry (like the Bradley) but ignored that the BTR-82A after stopping needs time for a crew member to get out from inside the vehicle and take the position to control the ATGM on the armor).
It is worth noting that after the vehicle’s release, it was possible to control from the commander’s face (upon losing the gunner) at least when you actually switch to control from his face yourself, but after one of the minor updates, this system broke down too and you just wait for the death of your vehicle while the commander takes the place of the lost gunner for a long, long time, ignoring his own weapon controls.
Second broken Ukrainian vehicle, hmmmmmmmmm
Against this background, it’s funny that we waited ± half a year for the fix to the 12.7mm sight zeroing on the BM Oplot-T/M (before that, it didn’t shoot where you aimed) but still haven’t received the ability to rotate the machine gun 360 degrees around its mount…
If I remember correctly, they used the wrong model of dynamic protection on it, one with a lower level of protection
They haven’t been able to fix the missing 360-degree rotation of the 12.7 mm machine gun - so what’s there to say about the other issues with this tank…
Community Bug Reporting System - 8 months ago…
Spoiler

Video is marketing fake, just like armor and everything else, oplot is basically a T-72A with a different name, gaijin can’t lie to us
