I’m not sure how they work and what sources I need to provide - I learned of this vehicles existence today and felt the need to post about it here.
The only information I found (through a limited search) was the old export contracts, and those 3 photos - a colourised TV Broadcast, a Black & White Photo, and a closeup of the turret from above showing the laser rangefinder (first photo in the FCS section).
Any more information (except the engine) was my own assumptions and/or deductions based on the photos - of the ammunition available, systems, sights, so on.
Practically, what tree it should go to in-game if not here, what BR it would really have, how to provide sources etc - I don’t know.
I am almost certain that if such information is not laid for Gaijin they will simply dismiss the suggestion, and I cant give them it.
And by god it is very tough for me atleast to find certain things and the technical specifications when I am 100% not familiar with such a level of detail

I will love it very much! Among them are two of my favorite tanks: the T-84U and the Leopard 2 a6. I always look forward to the day when I see the Ukrainian army plunge into War Thunder. Hope he can come true as planned.

I appreciate the offer, and a suggestion would be nice, but if I suggest it for Ukraine, it will be automatically denied.
And I don’t want to suggest it for the USSR Tree and set a precedent that Ukraine is just a sub-tree (even if we know that wouldn’t work due to bloating, vehicle imbalance, etc).
Maybe I will revisit, but if you or anyone else wants to make a suggestion, absolutely go ahead!

I don’t think it would be denied, there are several Ukraine vehicle suggestions on the forum (and plenty of my suggestions in which scraped by somehow even with lack of sources lol) however I understand. If you change your mind let me know 🤙

BMP-1 (ZU-23-2) would be fine.

The problem with that is that a few countries have BMP-1’s with the ZU-23-2 autocannon and they all have their slight differences
Really doesn’t matter. Suggestions in the Other Nations section are separated by nation. If it really bothers you, title it something like “Ukrainian BMP-1 (ZU-23-2)” or “BMP-1 (ZU-23-2) UKR”.

I believe Object 478 is worth adding to the list, as it was competing with Object 219A, later evolved into Object 478B, then became T-80UD.
Object 219A evolved through out its development amd because Object 219AS, or T-80U.
