UI changes for the better

I feel that the old UI is becoming obsolete and clunky. Some of the ways of gaijin showing objectives are too.

A great example of this is the highly visible white “chalk rings” that designate a capture point.

Another example is the old school “vehicle type” indicator, showing specifically the type, being a SPG/H, Heavy, Medium/MBT, and Light, as well as SPAA, need a bit of a rework and be a little bit smaller on the map.

The massive “The enemies are capturing the zone” text that pops up in the middle of the screen is just in the way, and annoying in combat, and instead should just be moved and slightly minimized.

Another thing is the ability to mark targets, everyone knows the standard “attention to the designated grid square” system, or the squad ping/mark system. This is generally outdated and should be replaced with simply stating “Target; Azimuth ___, Golf-Sixer” or something of the like.

I feel these would be generally liked and accepted changes, feel free to add any minor UI changes you would like to see.

The way all the events and info are just vomited onto the hangar screen. I have most of them hidden, would rather they just had one tab instead of multiple ones slapdashed left right and centre.

The UI is legible it does not need changed. Please do not encourage them to change the UI you will not be able to find things.

You mean a 10 year old UI that was lacking 10 years ago isn’t great today?

Weirdest thing to me is that we get new sounds and whatnot every other week for some reason but still have the same commands and voice overs from a decade ago, still have the D point, still have shitty commands that don’t properly reflect the answer because no, never and negative are not the same thing.

I disagree with all of your proposed changes, for various reasons. There is a reason those UI elements were chosen in the first place, they give War Thunder its uniqueness and utility.
