Yeah, it was fine at 11.3, but now against BVMs and 2A7s it’s completely useless. Tried grinding the new M60A3 today didn’t get a single damn down tier, always 12.0 or 12.7.

Meanwhile the IPM1 and M1A1 which are better in every way except a 1 sec longer reload are still 11.3…
We’re not even talking about stock tanks even fully spaded, it’s still shit at 12.7.

It is much faster than most other mbt at its br, even faster than the Type 10. While its armor is mid to poor, it can be trolly sometimes, and I have somehow survived lots of bs. The JM33 is meh, but it good enough as long as you aim for weak spots.
It was good at 11.3, but since being moved up to 11.7, it’s just decent now. If you don’t enjoy the Type 90 now, there’s no point in grinding for the Type 10. The Type 10 arguably has worse speed and mobility, and less ammunition in the autoloader. Its only advantages are better thermals, better frontal turret armor, and better rounds at 12.7.
The gun is not the only reason the Type 90 is higher.
There is also the fact that the Type 90’s profile is significantly smaller.
IPM1 has more pen, at the cost of less consistent spalling.

im trying to get the oplot and no JM33 is not “meh” it’s one of the worst shells ive ever played with at this BR and it’s not even that fast most MBTs are just as fast

A large chunk of other stock top tier MBTs have to deal with the same problems, amigo.

You are forming opinions of a tank that has not been upgraded to full performance yet.
Roughly the equivalent to making fun of Mike Tyson when he was a child. :)
Which means it not only has less crew, meaning losing 2 crew will destroy the tank, but they are packed in closer together so you more likely to lose more crew to a single shot.
It’s a 50/50. Some people truly do prefer the more straightforward gameplay RU tanks offer as compared to JP.
But you’re expected to play Type 90 as a lightweight brawler anyway, not as a brute like the Abrams series. :)

I have the premium one, but it’s still shit at 12.7. The problem for me is the sight Gen 1 thermal with a fixed 10x zoom gives me mini seizures every time I look through it, while everyone else is rocking 3rd gen thermals and DM53.
Yes but it is also objectively a worser T-80U in terms of armour lol, and its not much faster than the Type 90 either. The BTA4 is also not very impressive.
