Type K-7 and the Golden Bay map

The Type K-7 in this particular map is simply unfair in my opinion. The ships stationed in front of both ritgh spawns both offer no protection against this boat as well as block any attempt at returning fire. The ballistics of the guns allow it to fire directly into the enemy spawn without even moving and sometimes without even being spotted at all. Any ship that isnt fast enough to get into cover in time is simply unable to survive or fight back at all as a rain of 40mm from an unspotted enemy deletes its crew. Even North Sea, a map with arguably worse spawns, still allows you to at least fight back in spawn-to-spawn engagements

You’ll come to a realisation eventually, but that can be shown for many vessels on certain maps where they’re dominating from within their own spawns & locking down multiple locations with ease, examples include the Marne class Sloops, Arras class Sloops, Siebelfähre 40, any Landing Craft Support, Project 204 Corvette, Flower class Corvette an so on.

The IJN subchasers as but an example in your case the No. 4 type subchaser, yet imo similar the JMSDF subchaser (Kari class, JDS Kari PC-301) is probably much more dangerous due to it getting a fire director (plus search/tracking radar) & higher penning AP ammunition for the twin Bofors 40 mm (plus below waterline magazines) vs no director & weaker APHE ammunition for the twin 40 mm Pom-Pom & exposed above waterline magazines.

This wasn’t a issue until the change of virtual height of fire director view about 1.5 years ago. Now the spotter sits in top of the flag-mast which is ridicoulos. GJ did this change without adapting the maps causing a lot of issues - not only creating the described adavantage but much worser allowing the bluewater ships to fire into the lagoons w/o any realistic line of sight. Prev. most islands can’t be overviewed so no target lock was possible which was ok.
In arcade mode the aimbot update left small coastals often with no chance to leave their spawns before killed by bluewaters from their spawn…
Unfortunately another example on changing parameters in a very complex system like wt w/o looking at the consequences on gameplay
