Type 93 is something wrong with the missiles when locking to helicopters

For multiple times now in an open field, my type 93 struggles to lock onto helicopters roughly 2 km away. Is there some trick to get a lock or is it a bug?

The Type 93 just sucks, get used to it. The best way to play it is as a light tank with no guns; scout, cap, and run away.

I got that impression but what confuses me is planes dont have this issue being locked onto

Its a helicopter thing all missiles struggle to lock onto them

Try manually switching to optical tracking, most of the time auto doesn’t actually switch tracking mode.

When its low to the ground it doesnt lock for some reason. probably spaghetti code

I thought it had photocontrast mode
