Type 90 / TKX Survivability Issue

For some reason, Type 90s and TKXs just can’t be one-shot, despite having no armor and only 3 crewmen. This is very buggy and annoying. Only the turret ring area would one-shot, but that’s not good enough, it’s too hard to hit under most circumstances. Sure, you disable them, and then they just run away at -73 kph. So hell annoying. Please fix this.

Ah, yes, the infamous YOU.
It’s not a skill issue, they peek a corner and you shoot them and only the fuel tank goes out. Any diagonal shot goes like that. Frontally, this unarmored MBT only gets one-shot at perfect center mass, and you can’t even go for 2nd shot 99.99% of the time. Sideways it’s also nearly impossible to one shot. Go to the protection analysis as I did before you talk about something you barely know the details of. If a tank that has no armor is somehow more survivable than some that have it, I’d call it a pretty serious bug/problem.

A tank with no armor being way more survivable than ones with? Allow me to gently doubt this bold claim.

If anything their armor schemes and protection values need buffs lmao. Massive skill issue detected.

Untill they receive better armor, and in that case their BR should be signtificantly increased (and it should be anyways), the survivability should NOT be better than tanks like Merkava and Leopard 2A4.

Idk,any shot into tiny bit of my track just oneshots my Type 90s. It either blows up fuel tanks or spall into entire crew.

Which is a hell big problem considering the Abrams has 4x the armor.

Never happens in diagonnal shots. Just do some protection analysis

Why would i do protection analysis when i actively play with the tank lmao. I did the latest pillow 40k score with it.

@israelinoam333 Every idler wheel shot of Type 90s have fragged them in one shot for me cause you only need to frag 2 crew.
Front on shooting the driver area one-shots every time.
Side on their breach is gone.

It’s not that big, but the real deal is that it’s almost never exposed. Turret shots are never a one-shot unless you are very, very lucky.

Which… does not prevent them from running away. It’s the fastest MBT in the game in both forward and reverse (unless you count the heavier ZTZ99A and WZ1001, which only get 2 kph more forward and way less in reverse).

As I said countless times, chasing them to get the kill is almost never possible, due to the 99% chance you will be the one dying in the process instead of the enemy.

No, it’s not. Unlike you, I carefully and thoroughly checked most possible shots at the protection analysis sector. Go do it yourself, and enjoy the same results.

Because counting shots you survived is far harder than counting those you did not, or those the enemy did.

It has about the same amount of armour as a leopard2A4 but at 11.3 so yea, kinda a skill issue. (Partially volumetric, which is another issue entirely)
