The game features a rather unique wheeled vehicle with a telescopic commander’s tower, which can be used for reconnaissance. Currently, the height to which it can extend is severely limited. This was previously beneficial for balance reasons. But now that the game allows for reconnaissance via UAVs, I think it’s worth unlocking the ability to extend it to its full height for the RCV. This would make this vehicle completely unique in its gameplay.

Iirc it’s not the only vehicle in game with such technology but this one might be the tallest for sure I believe would make it a great scout vehicle as it’s designed to be

If Gaijin thinks that having such a tall optic is too strong (which is why I assume they never added the fully extended optic), they could lower the deployment speed like in this video, kinda like how it takes some time for radars to deploy on SPAA vehicles.

Also notice how the optic can move 360 degrees uninterrupted

Regardless, I think having an addition like this would make the RCV really stand out out of all the light vehicles ingame.

I personally just hate that the telescoping nature of its extension is ignored in game

Like irl the innermost segment fully deploys before any others but in game the whole thing stays compressed and moves up as one gross looking chunk

Do you have any pictures of the periscope in the extended position? I have been searching for a long time with no success

I’m very sorry that the information I found is only what someone introduced on a third-party website after reading the manual. When unfolded, it is 6 meters above the ground.
