The type 93 in game has a pen of 370mm of armor at 0 degrees vs the only thing I could find which is wikipedia saying thatt it has a 430 mm of pen at same range.
Even if gaijin did give us the correct pen for the 105 mm type 93 round. Japan is using a native license built 105mm which means japan should get access to nato 105 mm round.
The near 80 mm in difference in pen between the type 16 and its chinese wheeleed counter part is notciable in long range engagements and why the type 16 underperforms at top tier and has to be put a 9.7 ranking. Heck even the boxer the latest reward wheeled tank destroyer fires a round with more pen then then japanese type 16
the thing about the wikipedia, is that they dont specify if it penetration at 0º or los at 60º, in game the type 93 pens 428 los at 60º which is the same as the value from wikipedia.
why should it get a better round to begin with? it is a pretty decent round for a 9.7, the centauro romor, the rooikat and the rad basically use the same round, the vextra even has a worse one…

Because the type 16 is a Modern as in it was made around the time with the type 10. It serves in the japanese self defense as modern wheeled tank destroyer. And that being japan has 2 tanks that are considered 12.0 . It took gaijin how long to fix the problem of incorrect magnification to the correct rate of 13 times.
So .6 and the type 16 will most certainly see the boxer in games.
Giving the type 16 a better round or possible fixing the actually type 93 if it is in fact off, will bring the type 16 up to being a higher br or even at 11.0 -12.0 giving japan what for a 3 third top tier as they literally have are tied with one another nation for lack of true top tier 12.0
So the type 16 shouldnt actually be a 9.7 considering how young it is comparable. It also has japanese license built 105 mm l7 which means it can fire most 105 mm rounds. Given the fact that japan really really needs more 12.0 tanks it makes sense to imrprove the type 16 in game perfomance to make it compete at 12.0
Centauro line ends with a 120mmm and the rookiat isnt a top tier tank destroyer and britian has more 12.0s anyway with several variants of challengers. And the Rad germany really doesnt need anymore in the way of 12.0 lineup

what round are you even thinking?, dm 63 is pretty much the best it can get, with that you can get at worst moved to 10.3
The type 16 and 120 mm centurao are both top tier tank destroyers and often are used by both japanese and italian mains are wait for it top tier because of the grand total of 2 12.0 for both nations

do you understand what does LOS means? having a penetration of 430 LOS at 60º it is that it can pen a 215mm plate at 60º, that is not equivalent as 0º penetration as apfsds normalize the slope.
As LINE OF SIGHT 0 degrees vs 60 degrees still matters and its even WHY GAIJIN changes the value to be less at 60 degrees vs 0 and you said what wikipedia is using 60 degrees not 0 degrees DO YOU SEE the problem yet
