I’m not aware of any sources claiming a HE-MP for the Type 10 although the L/44 cannon is pretty much capable, I couldn’t find sources stating that the JGSDF issued such ammunition for their main battle tanks, and, despite having an ‘air lock’, until a HE-MP is issued and sources are provided, I doubt it will ever have one, and I’m against artificial or unhistorical implementations at this level.

I’m sure it can shoot the round, the issue is dose it’s FCS have the software/hardware to datalink with the round to program it? if not then is just a regular HE round that costs more
It does not have one at least not one thats been shown. Plus the cannons is a domestic made 120mm sure it might be capable of nato rounds but it just doesn’t have it.
