Twelve years of War Thunder, and in twelve years, I haven’t seen a server close to South America to reduce latency, let alone any improvement in the major issues we face on event days in the game. With recurring connection losses, South American players simply can’t have a good experience on event days, as we already play with pings over 150+, and we’re usually the first ones to get disconnected because we’re already “above” the normal ping standard for each server.
They could make things easier by creating a server closer to South America, somewhere like Mexico or even in my country (Brazil). This would help us face fewer issues completing events and, consequently, relieve the load on other servers already overwhelmed with their own native players.
Today alone, in pursuit of the Maus, I got kicked from at least 10 matches due to poor server connectivity. You know that we players generally love events that offer free premium vehicles, but you refuse to strengthen your servers to handle the high traffic demand! This should be carefully reviewed and addressed, even if only temporarily, during these events.
Once again, I ask that you give attention to South American players, as we need a closer server. Just like you addressed the excessive prices we used to pay—which exceeded half of the minimum wage in South American countries—you can do this again, yet you don’t. And if we use a VPN, we risk being banned since there have been reports of War Thunder’s anti-cheat system banning players in other games for using VPNs. I don’t want to risk my account, and I don’t want to be disrupted in 60% of matches because the server can’t handle the demand and stability needed on event days.
Please, South American players, share your thoughts on this! It’s important, and if you, as a player, are also experiencing the same recurring connection issues during your matches, express your dissatisfaction with what’s happening as well.
