The line in the Gaijin changelog you saw is just an x-ray text.

Yes,my Do-335 B-2 now completely compress elevator at 650 km/h,0 authority,before even at 700 i could still pull to not crash. And Early F/A-18C and CF-188 can now pull 12G just with mouse,before without keyboard help they couldnt.

I don’t know what an xray text is but I do know that when some one says 450kg is added to a plane it should have some effect on performance.

This should be communicated better in the patch notes.

I believe that gaijin has managed to fix the erroneous bugged drag+weight for certain aircraft guns with the most recent patch. I personally only tested the F4U-4, P-38L, F2G and they are back to being able to achieve the top speeds listed in this chart. War Thunder Top Speeds at Sea Level - Google Spreadsheets

Thanks for the info, most helpful. I’ve found other significant changes that gaijin, of course, failed to mention, like the F4U-1A has seemingly unlimited WEP now vs. the previous 8 minutes.

I’m keeping track of the changes and will update the performance guide once the dust settles with these fm changes.

P51C seems back to pre tusk force patch performance.

All water WEP now has unlimited time, including all r2800, 51H, 80c, f9f etc. The WEP ui may show grey but the thrust is still there.

The issue about it is NABed already.

The issues regarding infinite water injection WEP are Not a Buged

*except the f9f-2, it does have unlimited WEP in test flight but not in actual matches.

This is why I dont use test flight maps for testing. If you do a custom mission and select the map you fully emulate the same conditions in an actual match.

Are the 109s still less drag or has that reverted back to pre patch?

Dev said they fixed drags and mass issues so I guess they are also fixed?

Do you have a general idea of what planes have gone from limited WEP time to unlimited WEP time? Is that value in game file somewhere so it can be looked up instead of tested?

Water injection is the only summary I have, though some take off WEPs (f9f2) is still limited

Famous (infamous?) limited WEP includes American r2800s and 51H, they all have inf WEP now

For Jets maybe f80c f9f5 and harriers. Kinda useless on harriers for overheating.

And I don’t think the 190/ 410 limits can make any difference.

I tested the jets a few weeks ago and found the WEP to be infinite now for the mentioned jets. I’ll put an updated chart of the jets below, I added how long you can run in each overheat with thresholds and healing time. I’ll get back to testing jets after I update the Props guide.

what limits are there on the 190/410? I assume you mean Fw190 and Me 410?

I’m finding mixture changes for planes like the p63a10 though, it likes to set the mixture to 80% now. Any idea what other planes had mixture changed? its really pointless, you can set it to 120 and it seems to work all the way past 6000m another clumsy half baked implementation for no reason.

Yep their MW50 (or GM1 or whatever WEP of luftwaffe I’m not sure) has a ~40min limit seen in 8111, if my memory is correct.

I have 0 idea about mixtures sorry. The only thing I know is to check black smoke for each other in il2gb :O
