Turret Basket’s. Updated opinions, good or bad?

They gave basket to VT-5 which doesnt have any either. So that wont stop em.

Well you probably know why i am lil bit skeptic

Thats first time hearing this. Does loader have to skiddadle around when turret turns?

Its the first pic that came up when i googled challenger 2 turret detached.

If thats true, loader does have to skiddadle around when turret turns then.

Laughs at leo2a4 and abrams in my SO MUCH MORE SURVIVABLE T72b

A turret floor is not apart of a turret drive. What’s realistic about it?

Seems like they just cant figure out why Russian top tier has such bad win rates, even after giving them the best cas, spaa and one of the best mbts so they are doing the next best thing they can think of and artificially nerfing the other side and refusing to fix their issues.
They couldn’t figure out the simple thing that selling top tier premiums will have tons of newbies flock to the Russian tech tree because their tanks are popular in pop culture irl, and because ya know, the game is Russian…

But whats the evidence to say the chally has it??? Ive not seen anything showing it has it.

They will be an okay addition after more tanks get it as well.

I don’t think this is unfair as the T series and ZTZs get their autoloaders disabled, for a similar amount repair time, and ahistorically cannot be manually loaded.

But they can still turn the turret and shoot what is in the chamber.

They shouldn’t be removed nor reworked, it’s fine as it is, people voted yes. A huge majority actually voted for this implementation.

But since we are speaking War Thunder level of thinking, the same ~83% that voted yes were dumb enough to not think that eventually these modules would affect their own vehicles.

Additional modules for ground vehicles

Back in April, we had a vote on several proposed options that aimed to reduce shells that passed through lighter vehicles to cause little to no damage to the crew or modules. Additional modules for vehicles won with a 85.84% yes vote, so we’ve been at work implementing as many modules as possible.

This is true, but in most of my engagements in those tanks, the autoloader is disabled while reloading.

And you could always turn the whole tank for Leos and Abrams.

I still think it’s a fair tradeoff. If RU/CN tanks could manually reload when the autoloader is disabled, I’d probably feel differently.

Using this same logic of only showing images of the said vehicles during the manufacturing proccess I think the T-90M should have the autoloader removed.

Unfortunately Gaijin still has this crazy idea of Russian tanks still using the obsolete autoloading system in the carousel concept. It’s not like the proccess of placing the turret is different from installing it to the other components inside just like the images you shown of the Challenger 2 like a Lego set.

Turret baskets are terrible. They are extremely unrealistic as currently modeled. In addition, they are also not necessary for game balance. Something which is both unnecessary and unrealistic has no purpose to be in War Thunder.

Most players (German and US mains) didn’t even notice until it started to affect their top tier tanks. Most high tier IFVs and SPAA, such as Begleitpanzer and VBCI, have had these unrealistic turret baskets for far longer. What’s more, the mass complaining and outrage of these players were listened to, but alas, only they were given such attention!

Now the turret baskets of Abrams and Leopard are modeled more realistically (they are much smaller in volume) due to these complaints. But the aforementioned IFVs and SPAA still have the same, terrible, giant fucking cylinders War Thunder labels as the “horizontal drive”. Even the VT-5 was initially added with a giant cylinder, even though it didn’t have a turret basket. The existence of such a turret basket would have made it impossible for the crew to access the ammunition in the hull; many players joked that the crew used Chinese martial arts to pass the ammunition through the solid wall.

Should’ve never been added. As for Spall Liner Leos, they should’ve been moved to 12.3.

Me when I am bad at spelling in English (I try to correct others anyway) :gigachad:
