The addition to turrent rings to certain nations makes the game completely unfair. The moment you get hit to the turret basket you are pratically dead meat. In my opinion this is the worse addition they could add to the game.
In the Forums we have to deal with the most questionable type of people such as the great majority which voted in favor of these new modules, probably thinking they would only affect the 2S38, and I wonder why.
The community voted, now we have to deal with the consequences of this action and I highly doubt Gaijin will ever return to the prior vehicles modules before these changes.
The issue lies in what tasks they prioritize and not with the concept of detailed modules. If all top tier mbts would’ve gotten their detailed modules at the same time, the majority would be fine with this change.
What sucks about this is how detailed the detailed modules is. Just look at the helicopters, no one could justify putting that much effort in how “high-res” these modules are. It provides no meaning impact to the game and the only thing the devs has done is set themselves a high bar that they have to meet each time they make them. Instead they could’ve just made them low-poly and call it day. This would allow for them to make more detailed modules for tanks/helicopters.
Don’t blame the community for wanting to have a new mechanic that the devs poorly executed
It take time, and being detailed (on the amount of details made to a single model not because it’s well implemented) is one of the reasons why it take time to be introduced, and I’ll blame the community for making decisions like these which brought no benefits to the players nor the game, additional modules means more work, more work means less quality product, low quality product is the War Thunder of today and the War Thunder of tomorrow.
Who asked for internal modules just to nerf T-series tanks?
Like I said, there’s no reason for the devs making a module incredibly detailed hence why I don’t blame the mechanic but the implementation of it
The problem isn’t the detailed modules themselves, that part is fine in isolation.
The problem is the implementation. The turret rings for these vehicles is basically a sheet metal platform for people to stand on. It has next to nothing to do with the turret rotation mechanism other than the fact that when the turret rotates, it does to. A shot that hits some incidental part of the turret basket should do absolutely nothing to impede the ability of the turret to rotate. Even if the basket bends or buckles, the turret rotation mechanism are more than powerful enough to sheer away any part that’s blocking traversal.
well its the thing thats rotated with the turret and not the thing that rotates the turret. Tell me how damaging that would stop the turret from turning
I believe it’s quite contrary the rotation mechanism is in the turret not in the hull.

It’s hydraulic mechanism damaging pipes or tank will end up in failure.

Wish you best
thanks
accidentaly left the tournement server and cant join back lmao
The turret basket for MBTs itself isn’t a bad idea but having it be temporarily exclusive to the Leos and Abrams is “questionable” since they decided it was a good idea to not release it to all countries at the same time
