Turning off Target Point generation by TWS needs to be implemented

This is tedious.

You cannot jettison unwanted dumb bombs when a TWS generated point target is present, because it defaults to CCRP. You cannot drop bombs with TWS generated target points presents, because again, it defaults to CCRP.

Let us disable it, or provide a toggle keybind to permit and deny this functionality. I have binds to kill off an unwanted target point, but TWS being used for awareness means that the point cannot be removed. This functionality needs to be added, as fighting it to jettison munitions is tedious.

A suggestion Ive been meaning to write but cant be bothered to write :D

A toggle keybind would be the best bet.

Yeah, it’s been a problem for a while, I’ve just finally been peeved enough to sook about it.

Only really affected me when I was trying to stock grind the AESAPhoon and using the stock unguided bombs. But yeah, its definetly something that needs to be addressed

It does impact stock bombs, or low altitude drag bomb drops (which are semi useful now due to added mode). Even if it is a niche issue, it still should be addressed.

for some reason all the bug reports about badly designed radar functions and the bug reports about the radar glitches that affect gameplay all get ignored for some reason.

I even make an effort to say something about it here in this forum and I’m constantly @'ing smin about it to just be ignored. Meanwhile useless fcking bugs that nobody even knew existed get fixed within a couple days, and most people on here only care about super niche modeling issues where a pylon is 2° from where its suppose to be rather than the actual gameplay, i swear this community is half of the problems of this game…

Im fairly certain gajin employees do not play their own game

It’s not just those bug reports that get ignored. Game breaking glitches on Xbox that get bug reported also get ignored(like one that forces me to restart the game to even play which has been going on for at minimum 3 months which I have reported numerous times since then). Half the time I think the bug report team is one person or something but I will never know.

I agree but there is already a keybind to disable automatic bomb release in CCRP mode.
I do have an issue with this feature while trying to drop GPS bombs tho, it changes my target point arbitrarily

The CCRP impact is the most notable that the majority of people will experience, so I did not list out the myriad other ways it screws up air to ground gameplay to force point targets on tws pings.

Yeah but thats the easiest one to fix, theres already a keybind for it

in controls setting:image
in options menu:

I think it should be completely separate from the target point functionality personally. Gaijin need to stop being lazy and using the “minimum possible effort” approach to things…

Its probably a spaghetti code problem though. Probably no way of having it work with Tpods and GMTI in A2G but not work with FLIR and TWS in A2A.

Though I wouldnt mind it working in A2A if aircraft rendered in at long range, you could then use the FLIR to scout the aircraft, NCTR only tells you so much.
