Coincidentally he has never touched any other tech trees outside of Germany, another case of grass always greener on the other side, the only ru thing he touched is German T-72M1 lol
I treated their opinion as worthless if they didn’t play them, or they played them but had atrocious stats in them, some of them will even double down by saying “i intentionally hodl w turn off brain when i play x vehicle hehe” when getting called out by their not-performing on so-called OP as f vehicles. Omg my step-sister ex-boifren’s cat was playing it thats why hihihi
Russian stuff is good enough in enough ways that I think folk start to assume it’s superb in ways it really isn’t. But compared to most the competition, the tanks really aren’t that flash. The AA and the strike platforms are exceptional though.
The T-72 isn’t bad, the only real drawback is its reverse speed. Other than that, in my opinion it only loses to the Leopard, since I personally prefer mobility.
I haven’t played much with other nations because, to me, it doesn’t make sense. After all, what’s more worthwhile: having all nations at tier 3–4, or focusing on a single top-tier nation? Which one will actually give you more experience and a better sense of the game? Similarly, you’ll learn a lot more by spading the vehicles than by skipping them just to reach a specific one in a higher tier, no matter how painful the experience might be… I’ll only focus on another nation once I’ve fully spaded the entire German line.
It’s not exactly like that. You also learn how the enemies play, which makes it easier to get something good if they play well. Just because I’m a German player doesn’t mean I’ll put a T72 (which has low gun depression, like almost all Soviet tanks) behind a hill, pop up with zero depression and get taken out by anyone who’s looking, or that I’ll grab an XM800T and go shooting at half the world as if I had all the armor in the world, same with a BMD.
These are just a few examples, but even so, there are still many players in 9.3 who don’t even look through their binoculars before moving out of cover. I catch a lot of unsuspecting players like that with the Wiesel 1A2.
It’s not just about the armor; it’s about the ERA and the ATGMs that are supposed to penetrate it, if we were only talking about the armor, not the ERA, I wouldn’t have said anything. I don’t know if you misunderstood.
The only era that sometimes works is the very end game stuff on the T80 BVM against direct hit atgm.
Spikes, or Tow 2 B which explode above the tank work wonders in it.
You claimed russian armour prevents ATGMs knocking them out when it would knock out a NATO tank.
But you’ve only used one nations nato tanks and specifically one russian tank with no ERA. you’ve next to no experience on what russian tanks survive or not, bar a limited field.
How idiots use a vehilce doesn’t reflect on the vehicle itself.
Many struggle to use the abrams, which are phenomenal tanks.
Russian tanks are best at long range for example.
Have you ever used a BMD or BMP3? They were under BR’d for a while.
However you conviently missed out mentioning the bagliets for shooting half the world when it’s been a constant source of complaints. shock horror most auto cannon lights are poorly BRd
You really should go grind out russia before making remarks about the vehicles in comparisson with “NATO” armour.
Theres more than just germany in the nato armour department btw.
Leopard 2 PSO will stop atgms.
CR2 2f, TES and even base model with the era will stop atgms
Abrams TUSK stops ATGMs as well.
Ariete even its ERA stops them.
The issue for nato era isn’t the missiles its the missing kinetic defense.
If you happen to have sacrificed 3 goats and offered a prayer to the unknowable, sure. Chally’s ERA bricks doesn’t stop any hits really, kinetic or otherwise. Turret gets penned by missiles comfortably. Sometimes it stops something, but almost never.
I challenge you to look for where I said it was about the T-72 being the problem of not being pierced by ATGMs. I think you’re not being very clear-headed, calm down.
The optics on the T-72 aren’t as bad as you claim. As soon as you use the gunner’s sight it already comes zoomed in, and its reload rate is practically the same as the Leopard 1A5, so it makes no sense for you to say it’s bad. You could have mentioned the ricochet angle of its APFSDS rounds, but instead you chose to look for problems where there aren’t any.
8.7–9.3 being your favorite BR doesn’t validate anything, I’ve also played a lot in that BR range already.
I agree that it’s not just Russian tanks, it’s a problem with the missile itself, or maybe the broken game mechanics. Anyway, it’s not like I’m suffering because of it, it’s just that things don’t work as they should, like a lot of stuff in this game.
