So the leopard I and the AM30 at 8.0 have been the benchmark of average tank for a long while now. So can someone explain how the TURM sits 1 br up and gets such enormous benefits that it would justify 2-3 br jumps in almost any other vehicle?
in 1 BR you get:
2 plane stab
FAR better optics (4-12x vs 6.8-8x)
-12 gun depression vs -8
Same round selection as the leo, but a better coax than the amx30 (best of both worlds)
30mm SAPI vs 20mm HAVP (SAP is still the best round type in the game for postpen)
same 20HP/T but much better ground dispersion. AMX30 accelerates silgnificantly slower and both reverse quickly.
And you lose… armor? That the leo and amx30 didn’t really have either. They all get penned by autocannons frontally, but the TURM has the best capability to kill the autocannon vehicle first. Turm loses 20% horizontal traverse but gains 400% increase vertical.
Just the stab alone should be a BR increase, the autocannon should easily be another. We have seen how many autocannon vehicles jump multiple BRs because of the strength of autocannons in this game. But somehow the TURM III doesn’t have it valued at all? I don’t get it. Playing anywhere near 8.3 now your games are full of TURMs topping the scoreboard. It could go to 8.7 and still be one of the strongest tanks at that BR. It has no justifiacation staying at 8.3

It’s not even that good.
I won’t say it’s a bad tank; far from it.
But Mardar chassis tanks are much better. How?
The leopard has the curse of being just armored enough to trigger APHE but not armored enough to resist them like T-55/M60.
The TURMS also have giant ammo rack that can be destroyed from a shot to the turret easily.
And it’s got high profile.
Mardar tanks can eat APHE shells with transmission, and the hull is fairly bouncy.
The armor is also thin enough in places where it could be penetrated, and therefore doesnt always trigger APHE

out of everyone on this forum YOU of all people dare say a vehicle is good or bad lmao. I have not forgotten the base bombing fiascos
in WT no armour is the best armour, mobility and firepower combos are king. Turm 3 has a L7 105mm and coaxial 20mm with better than most light tank mobility.
if you’re not playing it fast, aggressive and hard you are not playing it right. the thing is quite simply brilliant especially when its facing mid 1950s tanks at best

Its a 30mm coax with SAP which is why its so much more lethal than the amx30 or the marder’s autocannon.
Trying to say the marder has the firepower of the turm is laughable. And no, the marder is not more survivable. That thing is still paper as the engine takes up only a small part of its UFP and you can pen above the engine (or through with darts or large AP rounds). And the Marder’s firepower is laughable compared to the Turms. You have an atgm, so worse than a cannon. You can’t fire it on the move. You have a 20mm with HVAP. You are nowhere near a TURM.
As big as the TURM’s ammo rack is, the rest of the turret doesn’t produce enough spalling or sharapnel to do anything. So you either detonate that autocannon ammo rack or your shot does little to nothing. And i’ve put 105mm apds into that ammo rack and had it turn orange, so its not like its a very weak ammo rack.

This and the clovis have no right being this low. The clovis has a laser range finder and 4 second reload at 8.0 for god sake. This thin has a 5 second reload and a 30mm with around 70mm of pen, Its fast and stabilised. It has no right being this low full stop. Its the german players and it being a premium keeping it low.

The 30mm coax on the Turm 3 has 53mm at 10m flat. Putting it at a higher BR just makes it worthless especially putting it at 8.7 or 9.0, it will constantly face stuff with thermals, laser rangefinders and way better shells that just laugh at the Turm 3. The definetly lovely 5 second autoloader combined with a rather mediocre shell at those BRs won’t save it and it will just drop the stats hard again and it’ll be back at 8.3, Clovis should very much go up tho but then also receive its APFSDS its supposed to have. But generally we need decompression above 7.7 in which 14.0 for ground would already help quite a lot, and then just shoving everything starting at 8.0 up by .3 or .7 depending on their performance. With current compression it would just make the already awful one we have atm even worse
So rather than balance the vehicle based on the things at its br, we balance it based on the things that it sees in upteirs? Yeah, that doesn’t work for ANY vehicle at ANY br. The autocannon is going to be effective vs any IFV and light tank at any BR, moving it is only going to make it see more vehicles that its effective against. And the better rounds you fight against are offset by the fact you can fire 30-50% faster than them. Given the choice of a BMP-3 or Turm, i’d take the turm any day, and thats about as close of a comparison as you can find.
Again, the stab alone should be putting it at 8.7. Nearly no tank at 8.3 has a stab unless it has serious drawbacks. The autocannon, -12 depression, and a 5s reload put it at one of the best 8.7s even with a shell selection thats average at 8.0. Seriously, compare the french 7.7s and 8.0s to their contemporaries then compare the turm to 9.0s. You end up with much the same comparison and justifications for the BR.
Trying to scream ‘we need decompression’ every time BRs are discussed is just ignorant. BRs will always be compressed. They just did 2 rounds of decompression around 8.0 and still you complain. The Turm is the best 8.3 hands down and trying to say we need to decompress the whole br range before it can move is just deflection.

30mm is usless? you can track and barrel in seconds with the aphe unlike 20mm. Plus it can pen bmps and most light tanks you see making baiting shots a viable strategy. If your strugling in the turms 3 youve got a major skill issue rather than a tank issue.
I very much dont have a skill issue when i have a 2.21 KD with it in GRB and roughly 1400 kills while at that. Sure the 30mm is amazing to track and obviously against light armored tanks (and obviously aircraft when your elevation allows to hit them) it just shreds through them like theres no tomorrow, but thats about it. Destroying someones barrel is more of a gamble rather than a guarantee.
Very balanced, mhm, now put Char25T at 9.7

is of balans)))
very balanced indeed, totally not OP as fck
while we are at it, lets put a atgm-less bmp1 at 6.7! wait…

for the record there is people that say it sucks, while it can quite literally pen everything (tho yes, its HEAT it, it will still literally always pen and ATLEAST take out 1 crew if you aimed properly) and if you know where ammo is its literally insane
Milan missile with a spamcanon is a great combo and I’m tired of people pretending its not. cripple or one shot with a missile and then just buzzsaw off the barrel.
if you cant use them well its a skill issue, they are good for sniping and magnificent for being a close range shotgun slug.
the turm has a huge ammorack weakpoint but that doesn’t matter when they are faster than you and stabilised
I would argue that the 105mm APDS is just as powerful, however needs a very different playstyle doctrine (play it like a British tank but you have favourable balancing and speed)
You have 4 of some of the worst atgms in the game and no ammo box. It shows up at 6.7 on the Ratel and is still considered trash. 20mm HVAP is horrific and small caliber apds was nerfed over a year ago and still is bad. The postpen is nearly nothing and often fails to kill a crew even when you hit them. When it was 7.3 it had the distinction of being one of the better AAs for its BR as not many nations had good AA. Now… it can function but still sits in the bottom half of 8.0s.
The pbv 501 (BMP-1 minus atgm) is bad. You have a really bad low velocity heat round on a bad chassis. The ST-As are WAYYYY better in every way.
CLOVIS has a 5s reload, not a 4s. Its essentially a copy paste DF105 with LRF. While it is good, its not that good. 1kg HEAT has a lot of problems.
Yeah, the Ikv 91 is bad. But putting it at 7.7 wouldn’t help anything since there is no 7.7 list.
