Thanks for the invitation but I don’t think I have much time to spare or the knowledge to really help you. Maybe in the future. I really follow and appreciate your efforts though. Keep up the good work

So basically 11 Leopards 10 Altay tank variations, im not even talking about you added more leopard tanks than germany not even 1 country in this game has more than 7 variations on same tank and this tech tree reminds me of copy paste chinese tech tree

Surely you realize that this is just a presentation of the trees potential and shouldn’t be taken so literally with how it is presented?

Yes ? Can’t see any problems with that, it is not like any of them are fictional vehicles. Sure not all of them will make it into the game, at least from the start.

Again, yes ? Germany has dozens of Leopards too, if they are not readily in game it does not mean they won’t be added in the future. There is no reason to not to add them, in the end of they day it is Gaijin who makes the calls.

What exactly is “11” Leopards may I ask ? There is 7 Leopard 2A4 variations AND 5 Leopard 1 variants. You do know Leopard 1 and 2 are completely different vehicles right ? Germany also has 5 Leopard 1 variants and 7 Leopard 2 variants. It is know fact Germany desperately needs more Leopard 2s and could use some 1 but that does not mean other trees operated Leopard 1 and 2 could not get their own.

Its feel like I’m repeating myself but yet again so what ? Not all of those tanks going to make it into game, at least not from the start.

That is irrelevant, nations have their alternatives too and could still get their own Main Battle Tanks if Gaijin implements so. If there is possibility and if it is feasible it is in the Tree simple as it is.

Whatever you say I suppose ? Chinese Tech Tree still has great potential, amount of modern vehicles that could be added China is incredible. Sure there is few copy paste in Chinese Tech Tree, so does in our project too, modern stuff is their own designs and there is more room for new vehicles. And no, following Eastern/Soviet Doctrine in their tanks does not make them copies.

You are talking like there is no other vehicle in Tech Tree. There is literally 3 Branches which consists of nearly fully indigenous vehicles. As @Mahiwew said, it is our perception and does not necessarily mean how it should or it will be implemented in War Thunder.

Germany has 13 Leopards, our tree has 11, which are mostly domestic modifications. Turkey is the largest Leopard user after Germany, and since we have many domestic modifications, what’s really wrong?

I don’t see anything really wrong there, the rank 7 event/premiums are just to show the vehicle pool, if we exclude rank 7 ground event/premium, our Altay count (7) is equal to American Abrams count (7), I can’t really see the problem.

Again, rank 7 event/premium are to show the max. vehicle pool, if we exclude rank 7 event/premiums we have 7 Altays in the tree.

If we start from rank 4, there are 117 vehicles in total and 93 of them are original, not really copy paste to me. Also China has good top tier.

Since IDEF is one and done, it is time for new additions and adjustments for our project. In IDEF many new vehicles are presented, much of the vehicles has been talked about here, I’ll dedicate separate post for these vehicles too but know it is time to point the spotlight to Tech Tree. Without a further ado, Post-IDEF Updated Turkish Tech Tree Project:

What’s In This Update

  • Battle Rating Adjustments
Gaijin has been re-adjusting battle ratings lately, we’ve made some necessary changes to our project in accordance with Gaijin’s changes. I’m not going to make a full list, but current Battle Rating of vehicles are the ones in illustrations, hopefully I’ll be updating their specifications sections too.

  • New Altay Designations
Altay Main Battle Tank Program is plagued with many issues and ambiguity is one of them. There have been different variants, modifications and upgrades in Altay’s long designs and development history. Some of those upgrades are large scale while other had minor improvements/differences. Designations of Altay is never really officially changed that much since it is still in active development, in order the represent those changes we needed different designations. While some are official ones such as MTR, FTR, PV1&2 other just are not years of T1 Prototypes. With new informations we’ve reached, we did a little change to Altay designations as it follows:

    • Altay MTR
      Tech Tree: Altay MTR
Stat Card Altay Mobility Test Rig

  • New Additions
Turkish Tech Tree received 6 new vehicles to bolster numbers of both Research and Premium Sections.

Research Section

Altay T1 (2023)

First production model of Altay Main Battle Tank. Two units of T1 delivered to Turkish Armed Forces and being subjected to test. It is estimated two T1 will be extensively tested 2 years before further orders. As minor difference, it is said to have ability to fire Gun-Launched Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, though earlier prototypes planned to have this feature, there has been no official mention of it (at least to my knowledge).

GÜRZ

GÜRZ is an Hybrid Air and Missile Defense System. GÜRZ made its first appearance few months back then as ASELSAN Point Air Defense System through social media. Images were from patent sites and closely resembled what was revealed in İDEF. GÜRZ has a large arsenal for an anti-air system for its size, armed with one 35mm Auto-Cannon, 4 MANPADS and 4 Medium/Long Range Ground-Launch Air-to-Air Missiles. Lethality of GÜRZ further enhanced by 3 AESA Radar with 360° coverage and fire control radar. Turret system seems to be modified version of GÖKDENİZ/KORKUT Turret System. Turret system is on Anadolu Savunma Seyit 8x8 platform with excellent mobility. GÖKDENİZ Turret System originally weight around 8.5 tons, with additional weight of missiles, radar and other systems (including systems mounted on vehicle), GÜRZ would weigh around 27 tons (17 tons vehicles weight plus 10 tons of equipment weight).

So, since Gaijin has announced plans for the more “optimized” tech tree, do you guys have worked on foldering and vehicle groupings for the Turkish tree? I might needed it as a reference on my own Iranian tree proposal.

Also, +1 for the proposal btw.

I’m looking into it, haven’t really made a progress to talk about it with the team though. I’ve worked with some Iranian vehicles recently, I’ll gladly lend you a help if you wish. You can always contact me through DMs.

Alright, thanks for response m8. I’m glad that more people are now working on the mostly overlooked vehicles.

Thank you for your appreciation, yes the new foldered version is currently being designed and the post will be updated shortly.
