Marching Track Leads to Victory!

It is been a quite a while since we’ve updated our Turkish Tech Tree project, but finally it is time to release the lates version of our project. We’ve updated not only the Tech Tree itself but also the forum post this time, I highly suggest you to check to main post as I’ve updated description of every vehicle. This time we’re not going to release a change log since there way too much changes to make list, It would take awfully long time which I frankly do not wish to spend on it. Though I’ll point out changes we’ve in following part of the post.

So, let me briefly present what we’ve changed in new version of the Tech Tree.

– First and foremost, Kazakhstan Sub-Branch has been removed from the current state of the tech tree due to War Thunder’s game engine limitation. Though we’ll maintain Kazakhstan Sub-Branch as it is integral part of our project since situation can be changed any time.

– We’ve think out the overall amount of vehicles in both Research and Premium Sections. Premium section is especially less crowded than before as it lost the Third Branch as well as well amount of vehicles are reduced. In the Research Section, we’ve decided to remove as much filler copy-paste vehicles as we can, instead we’ve opted to more unique vehicles to fulfil their position. (As an example we’ve removed M60A1 as M48T5 offers roughly the some play style while being rather somewhat unique)

– Since the last update, Gaijin introduces quite a bit of Battle Rating changes, we’ve updated our Tech Tree in accordance with Gaijin’s new Battle Rating policy.

– Of course, we’ve introduces some new vehicles to bolster line-ups and increase variety. List of new additions as follows:

Kazakhstan is the perfect example of how a Sub-Branch should be, its a blend of unique vehicles of Kazakhstan and Turkish upgrade packages. Albeit amount of vehicles Kazakhstan offers somewhat limited, those vehicles are unique and related to Turkey/Turkish Arms Industry in one way or another, also cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan is increasing so there is room for new addition in the future. Our aim was to thin down the tree as much as we could, AMBT’s existence in tree provided nothing to us, so we simply removed it. It is already in US tree also as far as I’m concerned, AMBT aint that much of a Turkish.

I can understand, because some players had the Italian Airplane in the German technology tree before the Italian TT existed. So in this situation the M60 AMBT is in the American tree and whoever bought it, keeps it that way in the American tree.

Very late to this topic but I do feel like out of all the candidates for a new tech tree in War Thunder, Turkey offers the highest number of unique and interesting vehicles. Especially with their recent defence industry boom causing them to churn out new designs constantly. You can find at least 3-4 unique vehicles to be added with basically every unit type. I’d go as far as saying Turkey offers more content than a unified Korean TT and definitely much more than what Israel has given us so far. Just my personal opinion but that’s how I see it.

That’s the 8x8 version of an American made vehicle called the Desert Chameleon. The 6x6 version is actually in service with Kuwaiti police. I do believe a Turkish firm may have had a hand in the design though.
