Ok, now if the reason is legal, lets stop saying Console to PC transfer and instead Account Optimisation, because if we transfer accounts it is giving Sony the legal foothold that it tanks their profit and disrupts the console community, if we reframe it as Optimisation, we are optimising our accounts to work better on PC plus a tiny extra HUD and interface, if they argue against that, they are advocating for not letting PS players stuck in the middle to get better treatment as exculsives in both worlds are locked
But who can help us if we’re just ignored by everyone? You’re the only person here who talks to us normally.
Always time for that.
As I understand it the forums arent run by Gaijin anymore.
There is no legal reason why Gaijin cant transfer accounts. Technically Gaijin isnt touching the console account, just copying it for sole PC use.
Only legal things that cant carry over is exclusives to the consoles, which should just be a thing for PS users, and GE for some odd reason.
There is no help for us. Gaijin got what they want from us, and are perfectly happy to leave our accounts in limbo while they make copy paste vehicles to stick in every tech tree for the newer players to buy into.
It is still interfering with sonys closed console community though, for each person switching to pc there will be less future purchasers to buy premium accounts and the PS exclusives (which stay in the PS store to stop people from switching over to PC so easily). By transferring accounts, Gaijin is interfering with this closed loop and Sonys revenue by cutting copying that data and pasting it to a dedicated PC account, making the PS version of that account redundant, that is meaning that sony no longer has a large part of that community in their “ecosysytem” to pay for premiums which on turn wont give them a 30% console tax thry placed on the item. However, if we name it Optimising, we are saying we want our account to be better suited to PC with less bugs and maybe some extra HUD (wink wink), by advocating against this, Sony is effectively saying they dont want their players to have a better and smoother gaming which would explain why people can only use premium packs if they log back into PS and can only get GE on PC with a PS account.
Surely there’s no backlog/ its been like 2 years and it should theoretic be easy to set up with the boom in AI, and other company’s
We almost forget but this is GAIJIN — it is not impotant what they did but to tell us they didn’t do nothing and not to do anything.
You’re not ignored, There’s just no news about it.
The amount of posts which are a rant or which breaks forums guidelines are quite high in here, We’re not deleting your feedback or concerns as you have a right to them.
Forums have a set of rules, So we ask you comment informative.
I don’t think “ranting” is the right word to describe the extreme disregard we PSN players have been experiencing from the start. All this account system seems like an orchestrated plan to trap and abandon the players. So, in my opinion we’re behaving pretty well compared to GAIJIN.
get flaged xD
No news, no updates, not a single shred of evidence that we are getting a single bit of attention, what else could it be? Are we supposed to be happy that you guys threw us into this containment thread and buried the key?
If you truly mean that we are not ignored, please prove it. I personally am not expecting anything anymore and I believe Gaijin doesn’t care about us console players or any player’s issues in general, prove me wrong.
Well said my friend
Still not illegal, or breaking any terms that i know of that Gaijin has with Sony.
Ultimately, the game is available on Playstation because of both parties, but if one party pulled out then the game wouldnt be on Playstation anymore.
Sony does not run the game, Gaijin does, so either way the save data is Gaijin’s to control. Since Gaijin is not removing, or altering the Playstation data, Sony cant stop them.
Ultimately, it is up to the player if they stop playing the game on the Playstation, and if that is the case then its on Sony for not providing a better service.
That’s the Definition of Ignoring
Ignoring means intentionally disregarding, overlooking, or not paying attention to people or things. It is a conscious blocking out or disregarding information, signals, or the presence of others, often out of disinterest or to create distance.
After almost two years, where are we finally not being ignored?
Potential revenue. If an account is no longer a PS account, Gaijin is, in Sonys eyes, cutting off future/potential revenue for them, they would argue that by using Transfer, they are pulling Sonys customers away from them into a 3rd party market. however, if we frame it as Optimisation, we can argue they are fighting against the better experience for the consumers by not allowing the PS account to be fully optimised for PC play. yes, ones that you know, personally i believe that there is a non-disclosure clause within that ToS between Gaijin and Sony preventing Gaijin form publicly speaking of it. I believe Xbox has something similar
Here’s a question perhaps you could answer, what in your eyes is neglection?
At this point I believe telling us the thing’s never gonna return and we should shoo would be far more acceptable than gagging and tossing us into whatever purgatory this is.
The PS account doesnt get touched and still exists exactly as it did before the transfer.
Sony cant force people to use its service, or sue people that use or make a competing service. If Sony wants to keep/get more customers then they need to make a better service. Sony could have made a seamless cross platform experience for WT, but they didnt probably for the same reasons Xbox didnt.
If anything in either of the TOS specifically prevented account transfers, account transfers would have been prevented this entire time. The fact that Gaijin has been doing them means there isnt anything legally stopping them.
The only thing stopping Gaijin has been Gaijin this entire time, they could have chosen to automate the transfer service just like they did the linking service, they let their laziness shine through though and decided to make things difficult on themselves and us.
Who would be buying things on the ps/Xbox account? How much will it be used compared to the new PC account? Gaijin doesnt have to say if the terms of service has been updated. And you know why sony and Microsoft dont want the transfers to open up again? It could be Because of the cut they make. If PS and Xbox users go to PC, they lose that revenue and the amount of people logging onto their consoles. As for the laziness, you could be right looking at past updates, you could be wrong as the transfers not being up doesnt feed the snail its daily currency
All I want is to buy vehicles on the market, yet Gaijin really made us wait years for this.
It’s not the fault of Gaijin that console players can’t use the marketplace, point the finger to Sony and MS…
Dude. This line of conversation is moot no one cares about the console company’s loosing money.
Everyone has the free will to choose how to spend their money. Sony nor microslop can force you to spend money with them. That is it, end of the argument. People leave one companies service all the time for another. According to your logic we should all be sued and forced to stay on console rather than being able to switch to PC, and Gaijin as well as every other crossplatform experience out there should cease to exist.
What does it matter? Do you want your account transferred or not?
If not, why are you here?
If you do, why are you looking for reasons to stop it?
Sony nor Microsoft care about the transfers, nor have any terms with Gaijin preventing them otherwise they would have stopped it long ago, and not to mention even linking your account in the first place wouldnt have been a thing.
Gaijin stopped the transfers solely based off of the amount of work they were having to dedicate to it, which wouldnt have been an issue if they automated it like they did the linking process.
Past updates for the last few years have done nothing but add vehicles, (Even top tier premiums that Gaijin said they wouldnt do) and very little in the way of gameplay changes. Most of the gameplay changes have only come about due to the addition of the vehicles and their needed weapon systems.
No new maps, gameplay modes, or any other major improvements to the game itself.
As I stated before, the amount of effort required to write a program to copy data is miniscule. And if Gaijin did so, they would easily be making money from all of us here, not just in WT, but in the other Gaijin games as well since waiting for this transfer “service” keeps us from playing them.
