Transfer of console-created accounts suspended until further notice

And what information that was, exactly? You always had to login from the console to activate the PS/Xbox Store purchases for your account, nothing changed about it in many years War Thunder is available on consoles. Like every other console game out there works, you know.

I don’t know how many times I should answer that nothing is done about it currently to get the message across.

I think whole point of this whole thread is that we want same oportunities and ability to play this game in its full potential as PC players can, is that too much to ask? Also I would love to grind for cupons and then flip it on market and buy some vehicle, not waste so much of my time so I can swap that cupon for 100 WB and I cant buy anything with that and WB shop is in most polite way just complete slop, I love and not have to spend 80 euros or wait for discount on really bad ussless premiums. Like reason why I dont grind this game is because its not worthy of my time on console. Thats all its not quantum entanglement its simple as that.

The problem is not whether logging in through the console has always been required. The problem is the attitude behind the response.

Many players moved to PC years ago and no longer own their original console. It was never clearly communicated that keeping that console indefinitely would effectively become a requirement for future purchases. If i transfer data on a USB drive i dont keep my old USB drive forever because data is transfered? Or if i transfer money on a different bank account i need my old bank account to make transfer?

And let’s not pretend this expectation is normal within the industry with ‘‘EVERY’’ game. Games such as Fortnite, Warframe, and Call of Duty all support cross-platform without players to keep old hardware around just to access purchases or manage their accounts. War Thunder can technically do the same but just decides not to…

And at last why the frustration hits its peak its that account transfers have been suspended for such a long time and yet there is still no clear information whatsoever. Players/customers are being told what they did wrong but not being told what the plan going forward is.

I don’t know what the gaijin can do.

The only thing I do know is that the gaijin can do nothing.

Name another cross play/save game that works like WarThunder does.

All the ones I can think of are capable of being both, without trapping their playerbase in a limbo.

Also name another game where its cross save ability effects other games saves?
This transfer issue prevents us from playing other games like Enlisted, and Star conflict.

We’re discussing console store purchases now. In every console game you’re guaranteed only that that they will be accessible from the said console and nothing more. More broadly, in this specific ecosystem since Microsoft one also includes Windows Store titles, handheld, cloud etc. So if someone would think it will work differently for War Thunder, that’s on him.

We aren’t obliged to make the game playable for console accounts on PC at all, or make the PS Store pack purchases to appear on PC even when the cross-login is allowed. And I’m talking about keeping premium vehicles already activated via login on the console, even that was a tooth and nail struggle. Be happy with that, at least.

It would be great to bring the transfers back some day, even with all its issues it really helped those players not owning their console anymore or not willing to upgrade to current generation, but without extensive rework and automation it won’t be possible again.

And? My question is still relevant to that. Still plenty of other games with purchasables on both PC and console that dont care where the thing was bought.

You are right, Gaijin wasnt.
But Gaijin did, and did a craptastic job of it.
Much like a lot of your recent updates, it was only half thought out (Barely at that), and only even thought of in such a respect as to benefit Gaijin.

If only Gaijin had put the appropriate disclaimers attached to the link account button then most of us here wouldnt be in this mess.
Myself barely had any progress or purchases in the game at the time, and would have gladly left the accounts separate had it been clear what a debacle this truly was.

But here we all are in this mess now, waiting for Gaijin to get bored adding anime chick tanks to what was supposed to be a “realistic” sim, and “find” the time and manpower to fix this issue that Gaijin created.

Please name some examples where you don’t have to actually play from the console to see those purchases reflected in the game client.

Sure thing, once you answer mine.

Any. You can switch and keep your progress between both platforms as long as you own both devices, and only paid virtual currency is allowed to be shared without platform locking it.

can you say anything to the dev team responsible for transfers like ask them about it

Yea totally i can buy for instance just some V-bucks on my transfered pc account and use them in the store while not even touching or looking at my playstation whatsoever. It’s totally the same as warthunder… -_- Like seriously even saying yea we are not obliged to make a functional game for console players what is that for answer as a developer??? Like take some responsibility and fix what you made broke. This should been high priority you can even see it how many people watch this forum post daily because you made this LIMBO.

I mean he could atleast ask the devs responsible for this

What do you think that fixes? Right absolutely nothing. ZERO
I still cant understand why you wont add back the feature to transfer console accounts into normal ones it cannot be that difficult to implement. Just because it not their priority doesnt mean it fixes anything for us. For Gaijin us console players are nothing. We still want access to gaijin store, giveaways and many other features us console players cant use, because you guys wont bring it back. You could just also use the old way of tranfering accounts and maybe also automate it. Your little arguments arent gonna change our opinion that you guys are just to lazy to bring it back. Now dont say it is because of restricions other big games have also been able to create a functioning account system for console and pc account transfers. Its been 2 years… JUST FIX IT ALREADY

That is not an answer to the question, but is yet another deflection.
Borderlands, Destiny, Forza, Helldivers, Minecraft, Boulders Gate, Fortnite just to name a few all have cross play and cross save and none of them require going through a support person to transfer data and none of them require me to keep my console or monthly subscription to the console company.

Hell, some random dude made away of taking console Red Dead saves and porting them to PC.

They have no one responsible because the focus is on Loli tanks and copy pasting premiums. And even if they have someone responsible they are not obliged to make a functional game for console, Gromvoiny words…-_-

You don’t need to go via support in War Thunder either. You just login on PC with your console account and keep all of your progress. The only thing you need to keep the console for is the purchase and activation of vehicle packs (but not for GE).

Why are we all here then? LOLZ

Dude, seriously though, do you not get it?

We are here because Gaijin is forcing us to keep using our consoles.
If we were playing on console, it wouldnt matter, but since we are playing on pc having to use the console for any reason is a waste of time and an agravation.

I am the devteam and the whole transfers system was my idea. But it had too many downsides so it was shut down until further notice.
