Transfer of console-created accounts suspended until further notice

That is not an answer to the question, but is yet another deflection.
Borderlands, Destiny, Forza, Helldivers, Minecraft, Boulders Gate, Fortnite just to name a few all have cross play and cross save and none of them require going through a support person to transfer data and none of them require me to keep my console or monthly subscription to the console company.

Hell, some random dude made away of taking console Red Dead saves and porting them to PC.

They have no one responsible because the focus is on Loli tanks and copy pasting premiums. And even if they have someone responsible they are not obliged to make a functional game for console, Gromvoiny words…-_-

You don’t need to go via support in War Thunder either. You just login on PC with your console account and keep all of your progress. The only thing you need to keep the console for is the purchase and activation of vehicle packs (but not for GE).

Why are we all here then? LOLZ

Dude, seriously though, do you not get it?

We are here because Gaijin is forcing us to keep using our consoles.
If we were playing on console, it wouldnt matter, but since we are playing on pc having to use the console for any reason is a waste of time and an agravation.

I am the devteam and the whole transfers system was my idea. But it had too many downsides so it was shut down until further notice.

Ill have to stop blaming Gaijin then if you are the reason this half thought out “Link” account system exists…

I do get it. But if it was allowed to let you guys make pack purchases in Gaijin store then the whole transfers idea would not be needed in the first place.
But that’s not the limitation imposed by us like I explained many times. We will see if the policies on that will become less strict in the future.

Also not to mention that our accounts being in limbo effects other games we may want to play as well.
But hey, I guess Gaijin doesnt want my money right?

No it wasnt. And I never said it was completely Gaijin’s fault, it is shared with the console companies.

But what is your fault is automating the linking process, then shoving the service out the door before automating the “transfer” service.
Just like it was the click of a button on console to link my account, it should have been that simple to unlink them from the start.

the main thing people are wanting is access to the marketplace which is not possible on a console account

Then can you do something about it since it’s your idea why did you implement it then in the first place you knew alot of people would migrate also if you didn’t do it in the first place I don’t think this forum would exist

He either cant, or wont.
If what he is saying is true and this thing was his idea to begin with, I doubt he was the only one working on it.
Any normal person would have done something to fix (or even change) this issue by now after taking years of ragging about it here on the forums.
Remember, this “service” has been done the same way on and off for years now. And this definitely is not the first time he has had to deal with the inrush of people (Every time they stop the “service” it is due to the amount of people requesting it), nor is it the first time he is hearing what a crap system it is.
But then again this is a Gaijin employee we are dealing with here.

From what I can see, and from Gaijin’s current actions as a company, I see 2 paths forward. (Especially since they have stopped letting people link accounts.)

They reopen the transfer service one last time. Give people the opportunity who want to unlink the accounts the chance to do so. Then never allow people to link accounts again. (This option would require an unheard of amount of transparency from Gaijin to avoid backlash from people not knowing the service was ending. And thus is the least likely to happen.)

Or they send an email out to every linked account, (This is also more transparency than they have ever been capable of) since they have an email for every linked account, and give people warning they are force unlinking everyone’s account at once, and just be done with this debacle.

Given Gaijin refuses to work with the console companies to offer true cross platform play, (I suspect their predatory loot boxes are mostly to blame) having this half baked “service” does nothing to help the situation.

Read up my good sir.
It is all here, gone over multiple times, and nothing has changed over the last 2 years.
The dev only shows up when they think they can make us look stupid.

someone here should make one and post a pic somewhere

Oke sorry for buying almost all packs you offer just to support you. My bad wont be doing that anymore. this behaviour is insulting towards players. All we ask is "hey make a sense of grind on console, when I grind for vaucher I cant do nothing with it but I still need to grind same as PC where people can then flip it and buy other planes. thats all… but nevermind, sorry for wasting your time, you just showed me Gajin is not worthy of my money anymore. Thank you for that, I really apriciate honesty.

I just want to clarify this part - binding the email in the game is simply not needed for the last 2 or 3 years ever since we made it possible to login via Xbox Live into PC client (and PSN, for that matter).

We can’t ‘stop the linking’ even if we wanted to - as soon as you launch one of our games from the console for the first time, your account is created automatically on our end.
