Who would be buying things on the ps/Xbox account? How much will it be used compared to the new PC account? Gaijin doesnt have to say if the terms of service has been updated. And you know why sony and Microsoft dont want the transfers to open up again? It could be Because of the cut they make. If PS and Xbox users go to PC, they lose that revenue and the amount of people logging onto their consoles. As for the laziness, you could be right looking at past updates, you could be wrong as the transfers not being up doesnt feed the snail its daily currency
Dude. This line of conversation is moot no one cares about the console company’s loosing money.
Everyone has the free will to choose how to spend their money. Sony nor microslop can force you to spend money with them. That is it, end of the argument. People leave one companies service all the time for another. According to your logic we should all be sued and forced to stay on console rather than being able to switch to PC, and Gaijin as well as every other crossplatform experience out there should cease to exist.
What does it matter? Do you want your account transferred or not?
If not, why are you here?
If you do, why are you looking for reasons to stop it?
Sony nor Microsoft care about the transfers, nor have any terms with Gaijin preventing them otherwise they would have stopped it long ago, and not to mention even linking your account in the first place wouldnt have been a thing.
Gaijin stopped the transfers solely based off of the amount of work they were having to dedicate to it, which wouldnt have been an issue if they automated it like they did the linking process.
Past updates for the last few years have done nothing but add vehicles, (Even top tier premiums that Gaijin said they wouldnt do) and very little in the way of gameplay changes. Most of the gameplay changes have only come about due to the addition of the vehicles and their needed weapon systems.
No new maps, gameplay modes, or any other major improvements to the game itself.
As I stated before, the amount of effort required to write a program to copy data is miniscule. And if Gaijin did so, they would easily be making money from all of us here, not just in WT, but in the other Gaijin games as well since waiting for this transfer “service” keeps us from playing them.
Its probably all of their faults. Warthunder and all of the other Gaijin games couldve easily been true crossplatformers. But Gaijin loves the loot boxes with the .0003% chance at actually winning, and most companies frown on that nowadays especially when it is expected for kids to be in contact with it.
And also Given how thight fisted Gaijin is with what they do with their games, I doubt they wanted to give any control whatso ever to the console companies, even if it was something as small as timing their updates a specific way.
And if what you say is true, its useless to even be here bickering about something they dont want implemented again, in fact, the thread would be better closed then screaming into a deaf ear. i still think Sony and “Microslop” have something to do with it as they (Gaijin) havent said they are not doing it again, maybe Gromvoiny may help us with that piece, if the Transfers were never meant to start again.
Not to us, but to the two companys its a world of news. Im taking my piece from a view of contracts. Im also talking about witholding account progress, you want to go to a full pc account? Go ahead, but your progress stays on PS or Xbox. Also, its not the effort and work put into transferring data, but the rights Gaijin has to handle console accounts and whether the contract they signed with sony and xbox allows it, also have you seen the contract/ToS strictly inbetween Gaijin and Sony and Xbox, not available for public viewing?
If it didnt allow it, it wouldnt have been possible this whole time.
again, even linking your account wouldnt have been allowed.
I have already been through all this law junk here before. Read up in the forum.
Gaijin isnt handling your account on console. They are copying the save data that Gaijin already has control over.
The console companies dont store your save data, the game companies do.
Gaijin stopped transferring accounts not because of a TOS issue, but due to the work load they created with their own laziness. The dev literally said so every time they have shut down transfers.
Just read up in the forum.
This law and TOS stuff has been gone through multiple times before and has absolutely nothing to do with, nor is it stopping, Gaijin in this endeavor.
The reason why we are here is because we have no choice in the matter.
Gaijin only ever announced the opening of this service by creating a topic on the forums, there was never any other way.
And if we arent here keeping this topic active, then Gaijin will assume no one wants it and not even bother trying to bring it back.
But as more people gather here, and keep this topic at the top of the forum, it forces them to acknowledge that people are still waiting on it.
EDIT
Actually, while looking back, you have already brought all of this up before.
I recommend reading through the Forum Guidelines to see if there are any rules that your messages have broken.
If you have any questions about moderation on the forum then send a private message to one of the Forum Moderators, discussing and/or questioning moderation in public is generally not allowed. You can find all the teams and the areas they handle listed here: (Who is who and Reporting Procedure). If you don’t get an answer within a few days you can add more moderators from the list to the original message instead of sending a new message (that way you preserve the date of the message and it doesn’t look like a new request), adding one of the moderators to the message every 2-3 days or so until you get an answer.
Please do not to add the seniors until you have tried all other regular moderators, the Seniors likely won’t answer unless they are added and pinged by the regular moderators but if you’ve added all the regular moderators with no answer then you can add the seniors.
What are you on about?
Screenshotting the first page of the Guidelines doesn’t make you statement right or even true, Please can I recommend for you to read the whole set of rules!
In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators do not preview new posts; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.
So the whole statement is above but to highlight this part here “we may reserve the right” but if you scroll down there is a list of what will get something removed and what’s not allowed.
We don’t just go around removing stuff for no reason as we would get in trouble if we did that’s why we have the rules!
yeah but you have this in the rules so thats all. Even if you have some morals and dont do that you still have a right to do it so the rules are more like sugestions at this point becouse that one staitment makes it absolute.
edit: to put it into perspective. What if the constitution of a country had something like this…
I don’t know what’s tripping you up here I have explained what set of rules we go off which you can see for yourself in the Guidelines, You choosing not to agree with that is your own opinion which you are free to have !
If you feel there is a Mod abusing their power please feel free to submit a report via this link here:
