i am also hoping that if Gromvoiny does reply, it isn’t a generic comment. but a comment that has thought put into it.
Then let’s hope and pray your right, it’s already annoying enough that we don’t really get any updates
I also hope it will open soon so i can get a few packs during Sale and maybe the 292 of the Market :(
Im not sure why youve brung this up again, as it was already covered along time ago, but now you seem to be contradicting yourself.
There is an email associated with our xbox accounts, and if as you said before the Gaijin account is made without us knowing then that would be the email used. Which would make sense given the next statement that we can just log in with the xbox live info.
Given how youve said the transfer works, it wouldnt matter if the email was the same as the one we use for console as the account would be separate anyways. Emails are not console locked in and of themselves.
Kinda makes it seem like there are multiple departments within Gaijin that all have their fingers in the linking/transferring service and nobody is talking with each other.
There’s no contradiction.
Microsoft (or Sony, for that matter) doesn’t share the emails of users with us. We don’t know them and don’t use them.
And while you can login to PC version of War Thunder via PSN/Xbox web button without it, for transfer you have to manually link some email you have access to.
In case there’s some confusion, I am the lead of the dev team responsible for any store/third party platforms issues. Like it was quoted many times here, we have other tasks with higher priority to work on.
atm you cant link your email i think to Xbox accounts…
They turned that off after all the complaints here when they stopped the transfers.
?
Gaijin has to be getting some kind of identifier from the console companies if it is creating us accounts without us knowing.
An xbox live login uses an email…
We do get it, but it’s not the email your Xbox account is registered to.
That you enter on Microsoft’s side, we don’t know it and don’t need it for login purposes.
I’m fully aware of that. Since the transfer isn’t provided for over a year at this point anyway it doesn’t matter.
Dumb question If doing the account transfers are a big deal or a hassle why not add all the past event premiums for console for us to buy with money or grind in game? Not give them away for free of course. I honestly just want to be able to buy the is7 the object 292
You can get most of the rare vehicles as a random drop from skins trophies.
It would be better if you just didn’t answer
it would be much faster to login. without connected mail you need to login via Xbox Live every time you start the game and that takes time as the Game browser is slow.
Only like a .00001% chance for a tank random drop, with no protection from repeats…
The “loot” crates are probably the biggest reason why the console companies have limited gaijin the way they have.
That and the match maker in WT actively punishes people who try to play for free.
This isnt making any sense, if I am entering my information into Microsoft, and Gaijin doesnt get any of it, then how do you know whos account I am logging into? Gajin has to get some information of somesort to be able to identify who I am, and what information I am trying to access.
But again, this is stuff that was talked about before and is irrelevant now. Most people here, including me, have their emails linked for the purposes of not playing on console anymore.
We are all just waiting on you all to stop making copy paste premium vehicles and take a week to automate this issue.
You really care about this part of the community uh guys?
Chests are probably one of the biggest if not the biggest risk of getting something that you will almost never use, the odds are that abysmal it’s better to abandon the dreams of getting one on PS or Xbox then to actually keep doing it because there’s a point where it is not worth it because it IS not worth it, it’s quite literally gacha without the “pity system”
they only announce it here, it used to be a different forum page but now its this one, yes its opened 2 times for a few weeks at a time over the last 3 years
I said that we aren’t getting your email from Microsoft, there’s a big difference between that and no user credentials at all.
Most server databases don’t rely on email as it’s not a permanent identifier - on many platforms, including our own, it can be changed by the user himself or via support ticket etc.
Instead, unique users ids (decimal or hexadecimal) are used for purposes of identification and login.
I can stop replying about it if you’d like, just thought you might learn something interesting about game development and shed some misconceptions.
