you have had a year, and still no news???
The other company’say be willing to compromise with Sony, but with everybody moving to PC from PS to get the PC “benefits”, their revenue from the gambling system would be declining as well as most other ways of payment as you may know, if something bought on PS for 10 dollar annual fee and the 300,000 PS players moved to say Xbox or pc, Sony gets 0% because there is no one actually buying it anymore, even if you do link your account and play your PC, as stated in this blog, our accounts are still from PS and may require us to log back into the PS console, same as we cannot use the steam card voucher. Compliance and negotiating maybe is what I’m saying as Gaijin may not want to share that 30% which is actually a huge cut
Having a look at what I have just said, it seems I have cut myself off, the first bit was a bit about compliance, as Gaijin may not want the 30% “tax” on their products, the second but was about the players that will leave PS behind to go for pc

Blockquote you must also know that if they need an automation, that craps expensive as hell that also needs a programmer to make an AGI (basically a super A.I. thats purely for sorting)
Given that the big AI companies have failed to reach “AGI”, I highly doubt some backend programmer from Gaijin is going to invent and perfect the entire process it just to handle some account migration lol.
Automation is a common and achievable process in computing. Not to say it isn’t hard, which is why DevOps and similar roles are paid quite well.
My dream is to one day be able to transfer my account off of PSN. I want to buy some of the event tanks so bad TT_TT
Hell I’d even take just nuking my account and starting over. I just don’t want to spend money on this game if it isn’t tied to my main email
I dont see the post this is from originally, but no they dont.
If you go up and read the past conversations, where the dev described some of the process and where ai had come up before, all they are doing is copying data from one save file to another.
Writing a program to take information from one file and paste it into another is not hard, especially given Gaijin already knows how their save data is structured.
Also, ill point out again that the original linking process, where your console account was copied to make a pc account, was already automated.
If you truly want to start over, but be able to use the same email instead of just making a new email, you should be able to put in a request with Gaijin supprot to get your data deleted.
If they can delete your data, i would ask if you can use your same email in the creation of a new account. Sometimes an email will get locked out and an account deletion might be one of those times.
Yep, I’m with you on this. As I said before, I still believe they dropped the service because of their incapacity to come up with a new system and the firing process of the last months. And as you pointed out, if there really was a ToS conflict, it would have made more sense for them to just say it clearly.
My reply to the other user was more of a “what if”.
At the end of the day, the only certain thing is that, for Gaijin, we’re neither a priority nor even a minor issue , they just expect us to remain stuck in this situation.
This they should be able to do themselves, it’s a bit cumbersome due to the safety measures in place to minimize risks of account stealing using this method but here are the instructions for it: ( https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us/articles/115005277969-Additional-e-mail-addresses-binding-Linked-e-mail-addresses-removal-Login-management ) , i’m not 100% sure that this works for console accounts though but it should. And as you said, they can contact support if there are any issues :)
Yeah idk some dude a few comments back is yapping about having to create AGI to process account transfers which seems like both science fiction, and simultaneously, overkill.
Haven’t read the entire thread here, was just popping in after a year or two to see if the process has opened back up. Unfortunate because all the fellas are in a War Thunder mood atm.
Guess will either check back in next year or bite the bullet and just start from scratch.
Awesome, thanks for the heads up! Will have to mull it over a little, it’s a shame to lose 600 hours of progress and a couple premium vehicles.
From the looks of it at least this way I can tie the account to a secondary email and just keep it in reserve somewhere so if the transfer process ever opens up again I can use it properly
Guess I’ll step back, you are right, I can’t prove it so won’t continue to support this possible situation, ignore my last, say, 4 comments if you possibly want because I’m getting sick of trying to justify something that will never come back, bye.
Nothing more true than this. Although there were enough people wanting the transfer service they couldnt keep up. So there is no way Gaijin can say there isnt a demand.
If people would quit coming here and inventing reasons why Gaijin cant fix this problem, then maybe Gaijin would.
I know the frustration, but I hope you dont start over.
Even though Gaijin is holding up this process for no reason, they definity dont deserve to be paid twice with either your money or time.
its been more then a year and this service still hasnt came back?
Ive been wanting to buy a new premium but still cant since my account was made on playstation and i switched to pc. Its kind of ridiculous how this hasnt even came back yet, Gaijin is so money hungry but cant fix something that would give millions of revenue. Kind of sad to see.
