Transfer of console-created accounts suspended until further notice

Not insignificant, lesser. I’d argue that the multitude of missing or inaccurate features in the game is a larger problem, as it effects everyone.

I mean, I even called it an issue and said that it sucks. No idea where you got “Insignificant” from.

Not that big of an issue for a fair amount of console players honestly. Not everyone wants marketplace vehicles or premiums. I used to play on console, and barely noticed a difference.

Again, it is NOT insignificant. I’d rather Gaijin focus on the plague that is Kh-38MT, their spaghetti code, server and client desync, pure fictional vehicles (and their potential replacement) and their intermittent server issues.

You’re right, but unfortunately, instead of fulfilling what both of us want, they’ll probably just choose to add more DLCs.

“You didn’t want another 12.7 premium?”

what do you mean you DON’T want a premium F-16 for Israel? After they got the Kfir C.10? Well here is the Meteor 9 too!

It bugs me how people act like war thunder is super wrong and inaccurate in many ways, I’ve been talking to people in the DCS community and their are many features we are missing but ones we have they have modeled far worse like missiles and radar, then when looking at things they have in DCS people want in war thunder it’s modeled very poorly in many DCS models it does some things great but others things not as well as war thunder it’s just the fact that war thunder doesn’t focus on sim its more of an arcade game but in the next few years it’ll be a go to flight sim fighter game they just need to improve AI and make situations.

But this account shit is just a headache cause if I want a vehicle like a top tier premium jet I need to go on my Xbox to buy it which gives gaijin less money, this definitely has to do with Microsoft and Sony not wanting accounts to be discounted to that amount cause profit most wallet worriers I know are console players.

All these features are great, but when you pride yourself on having Historically Accurate vehicles, and then adding fictional versions of real vehicles (R2Y2, F-16AJ, Panther II, etc.) or just straight up fiction (E-100, Ho-Ri Production, M1KVT, Ostwind II, etc). Partial mockup or prototypes are fine, except the Kh-38MT has no evidence of ever existing, and the Japanese did review the YF-16A w/ Sparrows, however never test flew it nor adopted it- the aircraft didn’t even set foot in Japan, nevermind be designated the F-16AJ.

So I don’t know what bugs you, as all I said is that I’d rather them remove pure fictional vehicles and fix inaccuracies, such as Multipathing’s effectiveness or the fact HESH+APCR+Early APDS+Solid Shot do basically little damage while APHE acts like a mini nuke.

See me and you have the same thoughts and it wasn’t you exactly I was talking about it’s the many people who act like DCS has things modeled and done way better when really it’s just the fact they have full Fidelity models where you can touch and click everything and even they are losing credit with the FF f-35.

And when it comes to getting information about things like the Kh-38MT it’d be hard cause yes we have little to no evidence of it being made for real production or prototype we don’t know what extent it got to but with them not giving us other known variants it kinda explains why, like we don’t have the Kh-38MA ( active radar ) or Kh-38MK ( satellite guided ) which both would have issues but would be way less annoying then the Kh-38MT because the Kh-38MA needs a moving target to track and is mostly for ships.

So what issues are you referring to that are “being fixed”

So, you’re suggesting I should bring out my old PS4 just to play War Thunder and buying packs over the PS Store or for playing Enlisted and their other games (because let’s not forget that with console accounts you can’t play any of their other titles on PC) ? I don’t think That this is how it should works.
Cross platform and cross progression should be a basic requirement in games today, and this service should have been thought out from the beginning and well structured, not as they are managing it now.

LOL they laid off all their community managers like 17 days ago, They dont give a shit about us peasants.

of course

i have just recently got into tier six and I don’t want to make a new account and loose all my progress. I just want the transfer system back

Just finished the grind for the event T-34-85. I even got the upgrade coupon, but upon trying to use it I learned that you literally can’t. As long as you’re one of the people caught in this limbo between account transfers, you can’t even store up items to sell in the future when or if you get marketplace access back. To add a cherry on top of this garbage sundae, the upgrade coupon expires 5 days after the last mark released. What a way to run a game. Don’t address any pressing matters, just keep cranking out half baked unbalanced updates and overpriced premiums that aren’t functional upon release (F/A-18C Early).

Cause console stores rules specifically forbid that. Golden Eagles were also locked for the long time, but thankfully both Sony and Microsoft finally allowed to have a shared Virtual Currency balance several years ago.

Having transfer available wouldn’t help you anyway, you have to use all of your coupons and can’t retain them on the separate PC account.

Just a question when this transfer thing ever comes back. What can and can’t be transferred?

Please read the article on the support website, it’s all outlined there.

Its not any more, the support site is blank except for
" Please note! Due to a high volume of inquiries, the procedure for transferring console accounts has been temporarily suspended. An announcement regarding the resumption of the procedure will be made separately on our official forum.

Please note the following:

  1. Please do not contact support requesting to transfer an account until the transfer service returns. We are sorry, but there are no exceptions on this matter, additional applications only increase the load on the support service and delay the transfer service return."

I dug up one of your old posts on the old forum that explains it though.

"The following instruction is for War Thunder accounts created in the Xbox version of the game and linked it to email in order to login in the PC-version of the game.

We are now offering opportunity to unlink your Xbox-bound account. As a result of this procedure, you will have 2 separate accounts - original one that you can still use from the console (but can’t use in PC version anymore), and another fully fledged PC-account with no restrictions for using Gaijin Store etc. In-game progress will be saved at the moment of unlinking and after that will be no longer be shared and will become independent on each platform.

Prerequisites

  1. For technical reasons, we do not offer the unlinking for accounts that also played PC versions of our games (Crossout, CRSED, Star Conflict). If you are willing to sacrifice your progress/purchases in PC versions of those titles, inform support about this in your request.
  2. The email your Xbox-account is bound to has to be verified (you can check this in your profile at Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On), otherwise you won’t be able to reset your password and enable 2-step authorization once the unlinking is complete. In order for email to be verified, it has to be working address and you should have access to it. Please ensure it before proceeding with unlinking, this article might be helpful for you - https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us/articles/115005277969-Additional-e-mail-addresses-binding-Linked-e-mail-addresses-removal-Login-management
  3. You have to leave your squadron if you are a member of any. You will have to enlist back to it once the unlinking is finished.

Keep in mind:

  1. Purchases made for GE in-game (including active premium account time) will remain on new PC account, but Golden Eagles balance will be set to 0. So it is advised that you spent any Golden Eagles left on the original Xbox-account before initiating the unlinking, although it’s up to you.
  2. Silver Lions balance is preserved.
  3. All vehicles and premium account time (unless expired already) included into vehicle packs from the Xbox Store will be preserved.
  4. All “market” inventory items such as unused vehicle and skin coupons and trophies will remain on the original account. If you want to keep the content provided by those items on new PC account, you have to consume them before unlinking. But boosters, wagers, orders, discount coupons etc will be transferred to new account.
  5. Save your controls presets into a file while in PC version with your existing account, so you can import them later with a new one.
  6. All vehicle presets will not transfer to new account, you will have to recreate them.
  7. Friends list will be reset, you will have to repopulate it.
  8. Squadron vehicles research will be saved on a new account except for the last 3 days. To continue research, you will have to join squadron again.
  9. It’s a one-time, one-way offer. It is not possible to link the accounts back again, or bind another email to your original Xbox-account.

Once you spent all GE and inventory items (or are willing to proceed regardless) and left the squadron, login at https://support.gaijin.net and submit a new request (use the button at the top of the website next to your nickname). Pick category “Other” and name the request “Unlinking Xbox-bound account”.

Note! The average transferring process time takes up to 2 work days (and is provided only Monday to Friday), but this may change depending on the amount of pending requests. While the unlinking is undergoing, your account will be frozen to prevent login to the game and interfering with the process. You will be notified in the support ticket once all is done."

Yes, but just like now they said they would “update” the previous topic but created this one instead.
