dear gaijin, i offroad irl with various different offroader cars. i can assure you this is not how traction works. unless in game the tires are made of plastic, and with grease smeared all over them

It can do more than what it’s doing now in game. Used to be able to mountain climb with it easier, still can but it’s limited now compared to others.
Imagine if War Thunder maps were procedurally generated like Minecraft maps. I’m really curious how that would turn out.
Honestly, if a game I’m playing is pretty much done, I just start climbing whatever I can. I have found quite a few fun spots.

That said,
I doubt Gaijin is capable of such a feat anyway. They barely keep the game server hamsters alive as it is.

Such a sad thing they have done. I would much rather have people get into cool broken spots than have traction be this bad… I dont see the problem with people finding good spots, thats why we have CAS and artillery. If they felt these spots were so broken that they had to remove traction then why is spawncamping still a thing…?
CVT means it’s at maximum efficiency all time.
They could of idk made good maps and fixed broken spots rather than screwing the vehicles over
yet i loose traction before the engine looses power, if what keeps contact to the ground doesnt get traction it doesnt matter how powerful of an engine or drivetrain you have
They could do that yes. But they only wanna do reworks now where they mostly dont improve the map at all gameplay wise lol
it can still climb mountains just as easy from my experience. hell, you can climb to the top of the concrete blocks at the spaceport map with it

Gaijin doesn’t believe in traction. Also every American tank since WW2 can climb a 60° slope of dirt, but Shermans/Chaffees struggle to climb 30° slopes of concrete. It’s disgusting, honestly
Gaijin uses traction as a game element to stop players from accessing areas that were not meant to be accessable and to prevent them from going to Unrealistic Overpowered camping spots
concrete may be much more slipppery than Dirt
