With how much we are getting at and around 10.7 these days, I do feel like Gaijin has just given up with Britain top tier.
Trust me, with official documents they aren’t gonna change the Hellfires missiles from the Spanish Eurocopter, eventhough it doesn’t have any in real life. So imagine.

This update’s name should be changed “Freak Show”, only the ugliests is being added.
If they only had the mk.1 missiles with no proxy, it could work at 9.7.
Tracked rapier with only mk.1 missiles. Add upgraded mk.2 to a higher tier vehicle.
I am confused why they chose to give it the mk.1E and the mk.2 missiles (both with proxy fuse), not regular mk.1 (with no proxy) and mk.2.
Testing it out on the test range, the missiles seem broken, not doing any meaningful damage to the aircraft, even if flying directly at it.
The 4m proxy distance seems to be the culprit, exploding too far away from the target to do critical damage with such a small warhead. For comparison, the Stinger has a 1m proxy fuse and 540g equivalent warhead. The damage at 4x the distance is only like 1/16th, so it makes a massive difference! Even the larger 655g warhead isn’t enough to do damage.
Ironically, the plain mk.1 missile with no proxy would likely be more effective atm.
I hope they fix this soon.
They are broken, they don’t do any damage, i refuse to play it till it’s fixed, I’m tempted to open a ticket to have my 750k SL reimbursed because it’s literally unusable currently. It’s definitely going off further than 4m away imo.

Hey dudes and dudettes, the Rapier has the, “Airstrike” modification but does not have the ability to scout. Is this purposeful or an oversight?
It lost its scouting ability from the dev server. No bug reports in that regard were actioned, so it is in both states at once.
The Rapier is still extremely sad

The Severe damage didn’t even affect him :/
Also just had a game where a Eurocopter Tiger tanked 3 direct hits at 2km to the cockpit
was that Damage fix a one patch wonder? because Anti Air missiles should not be this impotent,
especially for a missile that is only just being replaced in service in the last few years, and that is still in service with multiple militaries
Could we get the Contact fuse Mk.1 just so we can actually get a bloody one hit kill with them?
Its an Su-25. I’ve seen one tank a direct hit from a Red Top before. Cant expect a British SAM to do much more than scratch the paint work :P
I will not tolerate contact fuze untill they fix the flight performance.
I get that, but 5 missiles all quite decent hits should atleast make it combat inoperable, not just tickle it
Besides the fact, Eurocopters are not that durable, and i even had an Alouette tank 2-3 missiles, all direct hits
if the current missile performance upholds they need to give it 2 whole ammo boxes, i run out of ammo pretty much every game i don’t get killed by ground vehicles, cause its not even like you can contest a cap with overpressure like you were a Roland, unless they give us the Mk.2B missiles
